I heard a lot about nizoral that is a DHT blocker and it can improve the quality of hair...bla bla bla...actually I think it doesn't work and every study that has been made is only for commercial purpose. How can this think help me if it can do anything against my dandruff.:))I'm using it since 1 and half month twice per month. So far no result I can't get rid of dandruff...no hopes regarding improvement of hair quality.

I personally think my hair feels somehow healthier since I started using Nizoral. I'd recommend it to anyone.. Make sure you follow the instructions on the bottle.

I believe the instruction on the bottle says it should be used 3-4 months to cure dandruff, so give it more time... Next time I go to the bathroom, I'll check what it says on the bottle and if it doesn't say 3-4 months, I'll edit this post...

Ah man, I get so annoyed over people like you. "It don't work cause my hair isn't like Elvis and I have been using it for a month and since it don't work on me it's bullshit".

First, keto ain't a big anti-androgen, it just "helps" other anti-androgen a little. If you want to use it as a antiandrogen, you will have more effect if you use the cream or foam. Regrowth on finasteride takes 6-12months, why would you think keto would grow anything in 1 1/2 month, have you actually read anything about hair growth?

Second, I cannot see how you could say that the firm behind nizoral are pushing it as a scam. They don't even wanna say that it grows hair.

Third, keto works more at the immune respond to hair loss, the inflammation. It is probably more effective than minoxidil if you see a 10 year time line.

Fourth, keto ain't no wonder drug, it only helps a little and gives you thicker hair and makes the scalp healthier. Some of the people in the studies had amazing results, but thats some lucky ones. Some young people have amazing results with minoxidil, but they are usually young people with recent loss. Shiny bald people have only a small chance of growing anything.

Im just so tired of people that feel like they represent the world. There are no real wonderdrugs in hair loss, if there was, every bald head would use it. All we have is products that help a little, and if one mix some of them one could have a decent result. If you don't want to use nizoral/keto, use Body Shop Ginger Shampoo with P-O, P-O actually grew thicker shafts than nizoral, but I don't know if P-O have any effect on the inflammation or if it is a mild anti-androgen.

It shall help within 2-4 weeks if one use it as recommended. I have some friends with dandruff problems and they love the stuff.

For Sothatslife...

Hey ...don't be so sad you don't have any reason...Yes I have some problems with my hair...I still struggle with my thought regarding balding...I don't really know that I'm balding or not.My hairline looks like receded hairline , but i'm sure that i'm not loosig hair. When I take a shower I pay attention at hairloss...nothing surprising...1, 2 or 3 hairs on my hands. So absolutely normal.
My problem is dandruff. On the bottle says that u can get rid of this in one month...I'll be patient ...I'll use it for 6 month...Hope to see some improvements...like missing dandruff or my hair will become thicker.

Regarding dandruff, you could try the P-O shampoo I mention. P-O is somewhat second generation dandruff drug. P-O is supposedly a little milder on the scalp, but personally I didn't notice any "pain" on my scalp on either shampoo and I have somewhat a sensitive scalp. Please try a good conditioner because it moisturizes your scalp, maybe tea tree conditioner(many on this forum use jasons) or nano conditioner(I use this).

If nizoral or a P-O shampoo + conditioner don't stop your flaking(dandruff) you could try tricomin or better prox-n just because CP/SOD helps the scalp and is good for hair. Prox-n 2months supply last about 5-6months, and I think it was the thing that got rid of my dry scalp before I started nizoral.

Some derms recommend coal tare shampoo for itchy dandruff scalp, but it's real messy and smells. It would be a good idea to see a derm about your dandruff, you could have some kind of scalp condition if nizoral don't fix your scalp. But try the p-o or nizoral with a good conditioner for a month to see if it works first. If they work they should do so show signs of improvement in 2-6weeks so using something for 6 months is kinda pointless if it don't work regarding dandruff.

Do you use 1% or 2% nizoral? regarding hair loss there is probably not much difference, but 2% is more powerful regarding dandruff.

Do you leave the shampoo in for 2-5minutes? Then leave a good conditioner on for 1-2minutes?

Btw, im not sad or angry, I just don't want this forum to be overloaded with pointless negativity. One need not to say pointless stuff about the few things that actually helps with hair loss. Hope your scalp gets better.

I'm using nizoral 2% ...thanks for advice...regarding my hairline i'll start minoxidil in one month because i don't know what to think about my hair. The area of the right temple is larger than the left one.The phenomenon is explicable because 2 years ago i've lost some hairs over 200 from that area.since there nothing...I don't know what to think...so i decided to start with minoxidil maybe i'll gain back my hair... Now i'm really optimistic!!! :)

Studies is have shown that keto and p-o is far superior to zinc according to dandruff. But I remember having a small dandruff problem when I was like 10 and head and shoulders fixed the problem very fast.

Study related I think the results was more hair on the heads of p-o/keto users after six months and less hair on the people that used zinc.

Yeah, I love the stuff. I used Nizoral, Tgel, and Tsal but Head & Shoulders makes my scalp Aok. Actually, I use Head & Shoulders INTENSIVE SOLUTIONS which is the 2% zinc. It's mild enough for me to use everyday. I've been adding tea tree oil to it for a little while which really makes my hair and scalp feel good. Just recently I have added lavender oil too. Still on the fence with that.
