Nizoral shortage

I usually buy my nizoral online, typically from cvs.com because I usually the best deal there. However I've also seen it for sale on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com and Walgreens.com. Not a single one of these online vendors has Nizoral in stock. I haven't been to my local brick and mortar duane reade lately so I'm not sure if it's available there. What in the world is going on? Is it out of production??? Luckily I purchased like 6 bottles last time so I have two left.

What I read is they made some changes and moved production to a new location and this had to be cleared by the fda first before reproduction could begin,and should be back in stores sometime in July if this is correct.

What about ordering some other ketoconazole shampoo? They're all essentially the same thing, Nizoral is just a brand name. My local pharmacy has like three different brands.

Thanks for the suggestions. If the 2nd post above is true, my two bottles should hold me over until July. Otherwise, I'll see if my MD can prescribe me 2%.

I checked walmart's website and there were none in the 3 walmarts in my town. Found some "limited stock" in one 25miles north of me. There were 2 on the shelf, and I asked them to go look and see if they had any more. Ended up finding 2 more. Should last me a good 6-8 months (4oz bottles)...so I'm hoping that they'll be back in stock by then.

You can also buy it on ebay....for about $28+shipping. Damn, us balding folks are like crackheads! GIVE ME MY NIZORAL BEFORE I CUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL. For real man. I've been using T-Gel to conserve my nizoral and I can't stop scratching myself! But all jokes aside, I think I'm gonna ask my M.D for a prescription for 2% and use that once or twice a week.
