I've been on my regimen for over a year and have not seen any results. I've been taking fincar (generic proscar) from inhousepharmacy and have been on 5% minoxidil for as long. I bought nizoral shampoo but don't use it because I bic my head and don't have any hair. I really really would like to up the action but don't know what to do. I bought Retin-a because I heard it helps the skin to absorb the minoxidil but after reading posts stating that it actually might cause more hairloss I quit using it.
I'm really at my last end here. I haven't been as diligent as I could've, but you'd think I'd see some results. Anybody have any good advice? Please reply.
Thank you.

Wait a sec... how do you know the products haven't helped if you bic your head and have no hair? Your hairline probably won't get any better but it's really hard to see any increase in thickness if your hair is only a few mm.

if u have noticed any difference, then have you been able to maintain what you had ?

has it stopped ur hairloss ?? if so, then i would consider that to be a success.

In regards to me bic'ing my head, I let it grow back in a little every once in a while and it looks pretty much the same. If all I can do is maintain the diffuse horseshoe shape then that's a touch depressing.
Unfortunately, my hairline has continued to creep backwards.
I'm wondering if there is a more aggressive approach I can take? Diet, accupuncture, chiropractor?

Look into dutasteride (AKA: avodart) to replace your finasteride.

I would remain diligent with the application of minoxidil, if convienance is a factor try Dr.Lees minoxidil, dries quickly. I would also keep witht he nizoral as it absorbs in the scalp and has been known to have the same effects if minimal to 2% minoxidil...
