Well i just came back from vacation , while there i was living with grandmother , wel anyway we were watching tv and she say why is your hair so dirty and start rubbing the thin spots and said wash your hair everyday to clean the roots properly or you going to end up looking like your dad. f***, i apply freaking minoxidil 2x a day and the flakes and dandruff are out of control even though i use nizoral sh*t 2x a week and tgel crap, my hair is dull and look like sh*t since i was 14, no matter what i do i cant be successfull, minoxidil just thcikened my hair on certain spots and didnt regrow sh*t plus it made my temples thinner . Im f*****g 17 and had a shitty vacation with insults even in the house, cleaning the roots with water so hair grows better ? WHAT THE f*** ? , i want my damn hair like i was 9 !

i hope there will be some new crap in the following years or im about to explode :-x

I guess it goes to show how we put a hell of alot more emphasis on it than others who REALLY don't think its such an issue psychologically. This probably goes for all those Girls who so many of us think care about it, but most likely dont. I know she's your Grandma, so its a little different, but a similar principal allplies.

I suggest you go and see a dermatologist. They are the experts not us.... well except maybe tynan who likes to pretend he's a gynacologist at the local Jenny Craig.

explain to her how it REALLY happens. explain to her the theory of male pattern baldness and tell her its HER fault. and if she doesnt understand, politely tell her that its not your problem that she doesnt have the scientific grounding and/or intellect to comprehend it. and finally tell her to kindly cease givin you advice about matters she does not know about. Get pissed off by all means. That way your family can appreciate a little better wat your going through. afterall its THEM that sowed the seeds for this sh*t. Hell, you may even get more sympathy that way. TRY TO GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND ITS NOT YOUR FAULT, cos right now they probably think it is. I know mine do, so i set the record straight everytime they bring it up and slowly they're beginnnig to admit it.

Plus, the good thing about this, i can actually talk about my thinning in my family know. im not embrassed by it. Its not something to embarassed talking about anymore for. at least among family anyway. This is a good first step to accepting that you maybe a thinning a little. Before long anyways, HM will be out.

and i know. i started thinning when i was 14 tooo. i was in denial 4 ageeeeeeees! hate this sh*t.

Tell her to shut the f*** up then flip out and go smash all of her nice china in the kitchen with a cricket bat before asking her if she wants a nice cup of tea. You will most likely be diagnosed with a neat-sounding psychological syndrome which will ensure the rest of your days will be comment free.

iamnaked's obviously forced humorous post gets us to think about the depth that male pattern baldness can hit us. It's important to put everything into perspective and not get all worked up over someone else's obvious poor observation:(

Dang! I know that it burns and burns deep when others that you think would make a positive statement about your progress, state the other. That smarts. But, hey, remember, you're stronger than that! What allot of us here fail to admit is that we are all supermen but male pattern baldness is our kryptonite :freaked2:
