Not going bald right now but 100% sure it won't take long...

Come on man you can't deep down believe that's all there is to this. Not all of us want to lower out DHT levels that drastically and not all of us want to put things on our heads all the time to keep our hair. My topicals are merely to give my hair a bit of a helping hand, they're not intended to cure or maintain anything by themselves.

A lot of us would rather look into the details of what throws the body out of balance and what makes hair loss worse and triggered. It's also fantastic for your health.

It's totally cool if you choose finasteride, but don't have a go at people who choose other paths :(

All you 20 somethings take note, and especially you Hoppy:

The supplements and such are good and keep aging at bay somewhat, BUT! Speaking from experience, unless you can prevent aging, as you enter into your 30's, and into your 40's, some big *** changes will hit you concerning your hair and sensitivity to DHT. For those having problem in the 20's it won't become less sensitive, it will at some point become more as you age!!!

I don't care if your an vegetable eating vitamin popping organic bunny rabbit Hoppi, your fur is gona fly off.

Moral: I would keep an eye out and be prepared lower your DHT with finasteride as you age. I am not saying to eat finasteride now, I am just saying don't be surprised and don't freak out when your Harry Potter reservanol and curacumin extract potion is not stopping a big surprise permanent shed on your 35th birthday.

Oops, finasteride strikes again.

Thanks for the replies guys.
This is my plan:

When I turn 21 at December 27th I will start taking finateride.
Because I'm not having hairloss yet I will not start taking minoxidil by than.
With a bit of luck I can stay on my baseline for a few years just with finasteride because I started so early.
When I start going under my baseline I will add some minoxidil to my regime and hopefully that can kick me back to baseline.
Of course there is a chance that a few years after that my hair will be going under my baseline again and than I wil start taking DUTA.

What do yoy guys think?

PS: I think in a few years asc-j9 will become THE best anti male pattern baldness product on the market

I follow the IH regimen :)

You need to do some research before you start just pointing fingers at things ._.

EDIT.. We're allowed to not agree though, that's totally cool, I welcome anyone's approach to hair loss like, it's their decision :)

and DOUBLE EDIT -- and besides man no-ones saying I can't use Crinagen or spironolactone or Spectral dnc in the future, I will always have those options open to me, just like anyone does. It's just for now this approach seems to be working. My hair looks a bit thicker now and my hairline is recovering, I can feel little baby hairs coming through and the bit of dandruff and stuff I had has cleared up.

For now, I'm on the IH regimen and going with this approach, but in the future I of course have just as many options open to me as ever :)

spironolactone and Spectral and copper peptides and ALL that stuff is still just as available as it ever was before, it's there if I find I need it :)

Sorry I'm late to this INT....

I was in the exact same position as you when I was 21 or so. I'm 34 now. I knew that my mother's father was severely balding in his early 20's. AT that time Propecia and Rogaine just came on the market so I starting using them. I was able to hold my hair for quite some time. Maybe about 31 or 32, I started seeing some thinning, which wasn't bad at all, but now seems to be getting worse unfortunately. So basically I've kept my hair for 12 or 13 years... no one will ever know really.

You're in a good position to be honest. Say the same thing that happened to me, happens to you...... you have 12 or 13 years before anything significant starts happening with your hair while taking propecia and rogaine. By that time, we will (almost certainly) have some kind of HM product on the market. You might never actually have to go bald! How lucky are you?!?!

Start saving money for that, but I would get on propecia/rogaine in the somewhat near future if I were you.

Good luck!

Hi Kube8.
Thanks for your reply. It kind of made my day :punk: .
I got a few questions for you:

- When you started PropRog, where there any signs of balding? Not even a little receding on the hairline or a bit thinning on top?
- What Norwood would you be now if you didn't start with PropRog looking at your grandfather?
- Did you have a shedding?
- Do you have any pics round the period you started PropRog and some pics of your hair when you were about 31? You can PM me as well. :)

Greetings

Hey no problem.....

1- When I started using them, I THOUGHT my hair was beginning to thin, but looking back, I wonder. All in all, I had a full head of hair. Knowing it was a probability, I started.

2- I don't know where I'd be. My grandfather died before I was born... he was 50, but the pics I've seen of him in his later years... 40's or so .... he was totally bald

3- No I didn't have any shedding

4- I could send some pics if you wanted, but basically.... I had a full head of hair. I don't know the Norwood scale very well at all. All I can say is that fairly recently, my hair started to thin. It could be from the beta blockers I am... or was taking. I'm stopping that. Now my hair is thinning at the top in general and receding in the front and sides a little. I hope stopping the beta blockers will stop the progression. You wouldn't look at me and say... oh he's balding, but you might soon.

It sucks.

Either way, I'd say start the propecia and rogaine. It can't hurt. Don't worry, I highly doubt you will have any sexual problems lol.

It's just so disappointing that 13 years later, it's starting.... after all these years combating it. I wish those other HM products were available now. GRR

Yeah dude it would be awesome if you could send me the pics.
But why don't you just start minoxidil? Maybe you will get regrowth en maintain you hair for a few years. :)

no no... i hear there are too many side effects. no thank you no no no LOL

I'm off the beta blocker for 2 whole days now so I'm hoping that was the culprit. If it is, it will either just stop, or (hopefully) reverse what happened, but i'm sorta doubting that.

we'll see.

Another question:

Today I did some research about DHT and noticed that it also handles your body hair growth.
If i start Fina early will that asume that the growth of my body hair also will stagnate?

I don't know anything about that. I've never been a hairy person. no hair on my torso or anything so I can't say from experience. You should post a pic of where you're at. we can document you lol

That is correct generally speaking. Lost 95% stomach hair, (another words had sparse hair there, now a little blond peach fuzz) , the legs and arms have a 30% loss.

Ha INT nog steeds bezorgd zie ik? :)

I would recommend that you wait till you see early signs, dont go take finasteride when you still have all your hair.

If you catch it early you will be just fine.

Hi Ryan R. Why do you recommend that?

I know it is a question almost impossible to answer but I just want to know what my chances are when I start early on the big 3?

Can anyone tell me how to post pictures so I can show you my current hairstatus?

In English:

Because you really shouldnt be taking meds when your not experiencing hairloss.

It's not like ur taking a vitaminepill a day, they are reall medicines en take time (applying minoxidil 2 times a day) and money.

Start taking action as soon as you are losing, good chance the hair you've lost at that point can be grown back with minoxidil.

More accurately minoxidil will accelerate hair growth of healthy follicles, it does not "grow hair back", or hair that has been lost to DHT damage. The best solution is to take finasteride to prevent any damage or loss at the moment BEFORE your hair is under DHT assault.
