Hey guys

So I've started using minoxidil again over the last 4-5 months even after I experienced what I think was a speed up in my hairloss (Frontal only, it appears to be having no effect at all on my crown or perhaps a slight improvement) .Some people here have said that's impossible and if it goes it will just be a shed but that wasn't my experience.

To test this more I've been applying as little as possible, applying it on one side only and trying to keep it off existing hair although that hasn't been very successful. I think that side is now a Norwood 2.5 after progressing a bit more.

What I'm observing is that one side where i apply minoxidil is going yet the other side where i don't hasn't really moved.

I'm on the big 3, i'm thinking of adding RU as a 4th too. I really don't know what conclusions to draw upon all this

Don't panic your hair is still in pretty good condition. U might b going through a minoxidil shed. I'd say stick with it for a full year to 18 months. Also look into dutasteride instead of RU. Ask your doctor for a prescription

dutasteride isn't available in New Zealand :(

Imo there's no change to process, what are you seeing exactly?

I honestly can't believe how much density you have now in comparison to when you started treatments. You have long hair and it still looks full af.

My hairline has gone in more. Especially at the base of where the hairline curves into. That's gone in more so it's no longer on a diagnal really. It's just straight back pretty much. Full on NW2 to 2.5 on that one side now.

I'm still weirded out by the fact the other side hasn't moved. This is why i suspect minoxidil is not doing me any favors. Every time i use it my hair seems to recede quicker on that one side (The only side i use it on) while the left side of my hairline remains nw1.
