Im now noticing grey hairs on the side of my head. Im only 29 years old and i am healthy and take care of myself. Is there anything i can do to reverse this? ie vitamins etc or is it now time to just face it or dye my hair?

Is there something unusual about seeing the start of grey hairs at 29?

My dad was the same, still has 'black highlights' at age 50 lol - he's always pulled it off very well, always looked his age. I'd keep it personally, but you can dye it - look at Paul McCartney.

I've had grey hairs in my beard hair for donkys, I have over twenty scattered about now.

same with my hair I've found quite a few in the past I dont think its serious its just called getting older.
I'd worry more about the ammount of hairs you have and not what colour they are.

btw im 2 years younger then you aswell.

Same here I noticed my first at about 30 now 7 yrs later my greys make up less than 1% of my hair. As far as I'm concerned its irrelevent compared to actually having hair. I'd take as many greys as I could over hairloss.
Has'nt done Clooney any harm and some people start greying much earlier look at Steve Martin he was totally grey in his 20's.

I starting going grey at 17, I'm 25 now and it's pretty noticeable especially in the sun or bright light. It's not as big of a deal as you think it is, I actually get a lot of compliments about it, especially from women.

Read up some articles about going grey at a young age and then go to the comments section, the overall response will be something like "I love grey hair on men", "it makes men look distinguished" etc.

My dad (norwood 2 at 46) was trying to hide his slight greying, and as soon as I said 'can't you just accept you have a few grey hairs' his reply was 'you're gonna be bald soon.' Do people really get that touchy about a bit of grey? I like the grey look.

No offense, but it sounds like your dad how some psychological issues.

Haha he's not that uptight about it and as for the bald thing I don't think people realise how much of an effect it can have on people.

Grayman I don't want to rock your world too much but you do know that grey is spelt grey don't you?

Depends where you're from. Both gray and grey are acceptable spellings.

"Grey is the British spelling, whereas either gray or grey is acceptable American spelling, though gray was also in common usage in the UK until the second half of the 20th century."

I never understood the big deal about going grey. How hard is it to dye your hair? Regardless, can people just accept their age and the stuff that comes with it. I would feel blessed if I could start going bald and grey in my 30s-40s. Hell, I would take a full head of gray hair now if I could keep all of it, and I'm 19.

isnt that what people say about going bald

Going bald in your 20s and getting a few grey hairs in your 30s-40s is completley different. Plus, people can just dye their hair. I dont understand the problem with greying.

we can switch it around, going grey in your 20s and loosing and have som slight reeceding in your 30s-40s is also completely different :)

Im in my 30s and I rarely get any comments about my hairline as its so common, when I started to get grey hair on my sides I got alot of comments about it like you are so young and already getting grey, friends joked and called me grandpa and I dont even have alot of grey :)

now I just shave it of, not because of my receeding hairline (a norwood 2) but the white hair on my sides and a bunch of silver ones on my front makes me look like 10 years older

The first 2 years I used grecian wich is like a mouse that gives you your natural color back but I had pretty short hair and it was a b**ch applying it eweryday, greasy and smelly and didnt really catch on the short hair

Keith Murray has a lot of grey and I reckon it looks so cool. It makes your hair appear much fuller too (if it's white/ light grey) because of how much light it reflects.

I just have to laugh when people get concerned about going grey or get some complex about it.... compared to losing your hair its not even a f*****g problem. I'm 24 (about to be 25), I have a couple greys here and there...but if I was given the choice of losing my hair and never going grey..or going completely grey at the age of 25 but keeping my hair...i would choose going completely grey in a second. Grey hair is completely fixable (if you even care) with a bottle of hair dye...losing your hair is obviously not. It kind of pisses me off when I hear people b**ch about getting grey hair. Try having a real hair problem hah

Here's a picture of my gray hair. I'm 25. It's actually not that good of a quality shot because it was taken with a phone, but you can see all the gray hair especially in the front, but it's actually all over the head, front being the worst.

So it's not really that uncommon, I know quite a few guys who are going grey, one being completely grey and only 28.
