Hello all,
Has anyone used a shampoo containing octopirox? I found that it has really soothed my scalp and reduced itchiness a lot. I have been using it since August (before complementing with Nizoral in about September/October). Anyhow, I was afraid that it would have any negative effects if used constantly (although it states on the bottle that it makes the hair follicle stronger), a few days ago I thought I'd try Herbal Essences shampoo with Aloe vera. I used it for 2 days, and on the third day my scalp began itching like hell. Now I'm back to Nizoral + octopirox and the itching has reduced a lot.
So, I think I should just to these two shampoos. Should I try adding a conditioner in as well? Hopefully I am going to start Revivogen + spironolactone soon, at the moment I'm just using some solution which contains ingredients such as: Zinc sulphate, azelaic acid, grape seed extract, rosemary, etc... and it claims it inhibits the 5-AR enzyme. Its called X5 by Natuline if anyone wants to know.
