Been on finasteride for 11 years. No sides and can still perform like a champ. Still thinning though LOL

Damn, that is ages!

What are your thoughts for having been on it this whole time? What condition were you in before you started, what are you in now and what position do you think you would be in without finasteride for so long?

Cheers!

That wasn't even a thread about ED and had nothing to do with side effects of finasteride - hence the title 'how to improve erections' - but apparently you're not intelligent enough to tell the difference. Assho**!

What's the point of getting so agressive and insulting me? lol
I just wondered why you opened up a topic called like that. You know, there may be a correlation between the fact you have to improve your erections and finasteride. Chill out dude, i wasn't the one sending you messages or youtube things.

Been on finasteride for 5 years. Heard about it here long ago and have never looked back. :punk: No sides, started to thin a bit up front but overall very happy.

BTW - What up to all the old hommmmmies! Hope everyone is doing well!

I've been using Propecia for 12 years. I started taking Cialis six months ago.

Get a life you loser, and stop sending me anonymous messages.

Como vai voce? (or something like that)

Do you take Cialis every day or just before sex?

I read that some guys take it everyday at 5mg for a kind of "permanently on v****" effect. Would be great as a sex enhancer!

I laugh when I read crap about people saying they have penile shrinkage and brain fogging, they must get themselves so caught up obsession with the pill effects that their mind starts playing tricks on them. I don't doubt a small minority get some side effects, by to attribute your penis shrinking to 1mg of a drug proven to be safe is ludicrous.

Dude, the messages before yours said "Let's not make this thread about pro-anti finasteride debate".

You can state your opinion about the benefits of finasteride, I don't doubt that you are having good results and everything is working for you. Good for you!!! However, don't insult us by suggesting that we make up side effects so that we can post negative messages here.

Obviously, we (people like me) wanted finasteride to work for us. I personally saw finasteride as an easy fix, but it just didn't agree with my hormonal balance. I tried it twice for about a month on both occasions. I know I'm not alone, I even know someone whose doctor told him not to take it. When a doctor advices against using a "safe" drug, you have to question its safety record.

I'm still disappointed that finasteride, the easy fix, doesn't work for me.

Good luck with finasteride!!!

Tyler has a point in that the general consensus is that Finasteride is a safe drug, having been prescribed since 1992. As for the "I laugh at ..." comment, I guess some will be offended. Such is life ay?

Having said all this, it does appear that some guys have major reactions to finasteride. I theorise (as in, without ANY scientific backing) that this is more common in guys with already lopsided Estrogen to Testosterone ratios. A mate of mine pretty much has tits and love handles naturally (symptoms of estrogen dominance), plus he's got a receding hairline. I always wonder if he would develop major sides if he ever started taking finasteride.

Anyway, yeah. If you wanted to give it one more shot on finasteride you should go for a couple of months, rather than just one. As I'm sure you've read, plenty of guys get sides in the first few months before they subside as the body adjusts.

Anyway, cheers all!

I take it before sex. Daily Cialis is very effective but I don't use it.

I have been taking it for 18 months, no side effects, but I think I'm losing ground. Who knows, maybe if I had side effects it would mean that my hair would benefit more from the medication.

Been on 1.25mg for six months
No sides really, libido slightly lower? but then it's so negligable it might be in my head.
I don't mean to be rude but those who "can't get it up" taking finasteride I suspect were less than "virile" in the first place.... People who perhaps may benefit from HRT...

As for the hair on my head, well, I'm the same as I was when I started, too early to tell really. At least I'm not any more bald :)
I feel bad for people like UM.. who knows what Norwood they might be now if they had the chance to get on finasteride and other modern medicines?

I tried taking finasteride for a couple of weeks but noticed less/perhaps no morning erections and less spontaneous erections, i.e. when sitting at my desk and thinking about something I would very easily find myself with an erection lol but not so often on finasteride. I wouldn't say it really lowered my sex drive or affected me when I needed to perform so to speak.

Is this normal? After reading propeciahelp and seeing all the negative stories, this was post finasteride, I was very scared to try it again, is there any merit to the stories on there. Is there any science behind permanent sides etc? I am gradually warming to giving it another go and seeing if the sides go away after a few months. What would you guys recommend? I'm very scared of doing permanent damage to my body though or having permanent sides.

Read that propeciahelp forum -- half of the topics there are science studies. Merck itself hasn't done any long time studies on permanent side effects. They just found out that it causes lower sex drive.

Isnt there a few follow up studies that have been preformed that stated the same things about side effects from Propecia,

also have been using for 8 months, watery seamen comes and goes and no real sign of libido problems.

My sperm is very liquid and I get fat faster if I don't train. I was taking 5mg a day for like 6 months, then stopped for a while and back on it with 1 mg a day.! Was angry about my male pattern baldness..I take DIM 2 times a day and help a lot for the side effects..and go run once a day! Cardio is good! No b**ch tits, no erection problems so far.. I tried dutasteride and almost died from it!finasteride is the sh*t!
