What would be worse than both would be to go in for a hair transplant and wake up with Hassellhoff's c*** transplanted onto your crown.

Now, that's interesting. What are the risks of FUE ?

Well, anyone that tells you that there is no scarring is either lying or uninformed. Many suggest that it can leave a "moth-eaten" appearance, but that is not always the case but it certainly has been in some. Transection of the grafts upon removal is always a risk as well as poor yield. FUE enthusiasts will argue that this has or is getting better and I agree, but strip procedures still have consistently better yields. Noone seems to know why.

When I asked about the risks, I did not think of cosmetical risks but of serious nerve damage and livelong pain.

There is definitely a limit on how much FUE can be performed in one day whereas there are consistently 5,000+ graft per day patients coming out on a regular basis now.

That's correct. FUE takes much longer and is a lot of work for the doctor. And that's the reason strip is still done in most clinics. I'd prefer to spend 1 week in a clinic than having a large smiley-scar on the back of my head.

I think most of the responders to this thread would be disgusted by any cosmetic surgery. Ever watch a face lift or breast job on TV and you will understand that these pictures are not at all bad.

The scalp does have good blood supply so the amount of blood may be whats disturbing most people.

I dont think its that bad, but after watching that Daniel Pearl video :x anything is pretty tame.
