Oily Hair?

I recently started using Nizoral 1%, but my hair has always been oily before that and I wash it every day. I also think the thnning probably isn't helping. I typically use Nizoral + Shampoo every other day and then just the generic shampoo on days I don't use Nizoral. It seems to only take 10 hours or so before it gets extremely oily. I heard shampooing only 3 times a week could help but is there a certain shampoo that won't cause contribute to thinning but will also help reduce oils?

Have you tried not washing your hair for a few days? Oils on our skin and face are natural, and constantly washing them off makes our body try to produce more of them.

Definitely wash it less. Im goinf through the same thing. Apparently my derm said that all of my scale and oily hair is blocking up my follicles. I was washing it literally every single day because by the end of the day it would be disgustingly oily. But it turns out thats what was making it worse. I got put on ketoconazole 2% ATLEAST everyother day. And now olux before washez as well. I try to time it out the best i can so that i wash it on Thursdays and not again till sunday night before work again. But thats only possible 2 weeks out of the month. And inbetween i use dry shampoo to help with rhe greasy hair
