My plan is to use Finasteride and Rogaine and if I feel any side effects or if it doesnt pan out I will ditch these and just shave my head bald. I've come to the point where my hair is thinning/receeding to the point that I just don't know what to do with it. So this is a last effort to recover my hair.

I've read some stories about people getting side effects and that concerns me. But the side effects aren't permanent right? Also should I be using Nizoral shampoo as well?

Hope this works out.

the sides of finastride could be permanent and there a lot of stories about it including a site about it that called propeciahelp.com if I dont wrong, so be carefull and research more before you take it .
im dont tell you not to take it but at least be aware of all the consequences.

Ok, I'm having second thoughts. I'm thinking about just using Rogaine or continuing looking for natural alternatives. This doesn't feel right.

Is just using Rogaine an option or is that pointless?

For most people it would be pointless indeed.
Rogaine (Mino) acts as an accelerator much like fertilizer for plants, which makes them grow faster.
Finasteride/Propecia/Duta actually allows the land to be fertile again by removing the corruption we refer to as DHT.
Using fertiliser on barren land is pretty pointless imo, but using fina but not minoxidil is acceptable.

You’d be fine on finasteride. If you realize your dick only gets 80% hard just get off it. All that fear mongering is bullshit

Rogaine alone is pretty pointless if you have real hairloss.

If you already considered it, you will hop on it when your hair gets worse out of pure desperation, you are just prolonging the inevitable.Might as well start now with a better head of hair and stop if you get sides.

Believe me, it’s the same behavioural pattern for 99% of people. That’s not even a pro or anti finasteride statement, just a logical conclusion.

I tell you what, now I Norwood 1.5 with little bit receded temples - may be the best time to start Propecia, but the chance for the permanent sexual sides not let me use it and I will tell you why..
In the past when I just met my current girlfriend I suffered from sexual performance anxiety when we began to have sex and I know it happens to a lot of guys, but for me, it lasted for almost a YEAR !!
and in all that time I was really depressed - away more from what I use to because of the hair loss and when you have it - unless you really crazy, you don't care anymore about the hair!
and im, not anti-Propecia or something, and I accept what the guys above me say but all that I tell you it the reason that because of her I avoided propecia.
