Hi!
My hairloss debuted early (around 17) and I have been on the big 3 for 2 years (I'm currently 22, started treatment at 20). So far, during these 2 years I probably could say that I've managed to maintain what I had, or at least slowed down the loss significantly. Until about 4 weeks ago, when I underwent a MASSIVE shed, that's still going on. My hair looks worse than ever. Now I think I know why. This summer I was travelling abroad for 6 weeks. During these weeks I didn't use either rogaine or nizoral just 1/4 of proscar. The day I came back I resumed my previous regime.
I know that it says in the instructions that the hairloss will come back in 4-5 months if you stop using minoxidil. But everybodys different I guess. Now I can just pray for my lost hair to return... the hair I lost were long and healthy (and abundant
). They should return right? DHT doesn't miniturize the follicle completely through one shed does it?
Thinking about starting a killer regime. It's gonna cost me. But hey, if I'm doing EVERYTHING I can to prevent my hairloss then it's easier to cope with the fact that it's falling out. Then I can't blame me for not trying.
My new regime that I willl introduce january the first:
2 mg finasteride daily
0,5 dutasteride every second day
minoxidil 5% morning and evening
Tricomin at front and middle where the rogaine irritates, after shower
Revivogen and spironolactone at the crown in the middle of the day
Rotate nizoral, T-gel and a schampoo with emu-oil
multivitamins and omega-3 fishoil.
I plan to use tricomin and revivogen in a way so they last twice as long. I'll see if it that's possible. Gonna give this regime 1 year (as I said, it's gonna cost me). If my hairloss hasn't stopped by then I'll return to the big 3.
