Just found this old thread and honestly I could have written it myself.

Im over 20+ years on minoxidil and finasteride and the side affects were slow to arrive but they have.
As I’ve got older I thought it was just aging, especially regarding erection strength, now mid 50’s starting take minoxidil and finasteride late 20’s
I’ve got a full head of naturally wavy hair which I’m very grateful for, about 8 years ago I had a Dr Erdogan hair transplant in turkey and it was one of my best life choices.
I came off finasteride for a couple of weeks and things bounced back so this is something I would like to get back to again.
I didn’t start taking finasteride and minoxidil all those years ago because I had hair loss, it was more a preventative measure and to that extent it’s worked.
The hair transplant was more of a slight lowering of my naturally high hairline and a fill in, rather than a coverage of a bald area
Is there anything that can replace finasteride? I know of dis but I believe it has similar issues.
Or do I just go cold turkey on finasteride and stick with minoxidil and see what happens?
Thanks
