people people! you have got to be kidding?!

do you really care what shallow teenie boppers and their ilk post about hairloss?! these people are posting on a board about jessica simpson for fooks sake! the only thing this makes me feel is how the youth of today are utterly doomed and only concerned with taking the quickest and easiest route to fame (fleeting) and fortune(whatever 15 minutes can earn you)

whats the average age for a poster on a board like that? 14? 15?

i pray my kids dont turn out to be concerned with such matters!

seriously why would you give a sh*t what moronic kids think?!

That's kinda funny in a sad way. Maybe I'm blind though, I don't see that much hair loss. It looks like it's wet and maybe a little loss from age, but I don't see a whole lot.

I think I'm blind too cuz I wouldn't exactly call that "balding". The comments are pretty damn immature though. The guy is in his thirties and is only slightly thinning (although, I'm not too sure about that either) and these teenie bopper girls are saying stuff like "ewwww he's balding". If that's what most girls think is balding, then I must look like George Costansa to them.

btw, since we're on the topic of celebrities going bald, does anyone here pay attention to the nba? Well Dirk Nowitzki just shaked his head after the final game, and it looks like his hair receded quite a bit in a matter of months. It didn't look like that last time he shaved it.

Doesn't look to me like he's balding at all.

Looks like it's wet and the sun is shining on it.

Thanks for posting that pic of Dirk. I always thought he had amazing hair, well he does, when it's long. I would never be able to tell he receded like that. Especially since it didnt look like that the last time he cut it short...

Guys, not to freak you out or anything but thats the way 90% of women are. They are superficial b****s, who only care about looks and money.

90% of the women out there chase after the top 10% of men. Those guys have it made, the rest of us have to work out *** off for whats left.

At least women in the USA, Ive heard its different overseas.

Listen up my balding brothers, and listen good. Those were the opinion of 14 yr old girls! Yes, yes there are many women that are unattracted to us balding males but there are thousands more that don't really care. If they were asked whether they wanted us to have a full head of hair you can bet they would say "yes" but if we were asked for them to have a nice *** or better breasts then we would reply the same. BUT, these superficialities are nothing compared to what we really want in our mates and women, believe it or not, are not as shallow as men in these areas. To all the 17-20 yr old balding males dealing with young girls and their soon changing opinions on what makes an ideal man, I urge you to concentrate on your education, your health/physique and working on being a personable and fun person to be around! That is what real woman want, and like I said, having a full mane of hair is a definite plus, but not having that does not mean your doomed to a life of loneliness! Madness. I am 29 and am about to finally, finally go to college as a transfer student. Better late than never they say :). The college I'm attending a little college called San Diego State University and there are more women there than necessary. Sure, I think daily how great it would be to go there with a nice head of hair and mingle with the rookies but it's not reality. Live your life looking forward, stick with a regimen that works for you. Don't stress about what young girls say about hairloss and remember that mastering the projection of confidence and self-worth is more attractive than a full head of hair any day. Good luck to all.

You know, that's a very good point about what women really want. I see it posted all the time about how they really don't care if a man has hair or not and I just think to myself, bullsh!t, women care plenty...... why else would most honest women admit that it's a turn off.

But when u put it that way, it actually makes a lot of sense now. Men and women all have superficial preferences but most don't really consider it an absolute requirement. If you have other qualities that the opposite sex finds very attractive, then that can more than make up for the superficial shortcoming (eg baldness). For example, the biggest turn off for me would be someone who's overweight..... but you know what, if I meet a girl who's kinda big (but not TOO big, since I'm a pretty skinny guy myself) but has a really cool personality and an attractive face, then I can certainly see myself dating that girl.

So basically, everyone has these sort of shallow preferences and we state them all the time. For guys, we'll say a girl needs to be fit, can't be flat, must have an ***, etc. And for women, they'll say that men need to have hair, be fit, etc.... So we all say these are things that we prefer, but only the really shallow ones will actually consider it an absolute requirement for dating someone. If we meet someone that we're not initially attracted to but we end up hitting it off with them later on, most of us will find that those other attributes can be overlooked.

It can be very different overseas, especially in countries where feminism is not so prevalent. These countries are where many types of American men (bald, balding or not and not so rich) can do very well.

Back to the main point.....

-> The best thing a man can do long term is strive everyday to improve himself.
