One last time. Hair save able with propecia and minoxidil alone?

Here is a top view of my noggin. What do you guys think? Don't even speak of surgery. Is my hair saveable on the big three: yes or no?

Would help to know your age, how long your hair has been like that. How long if you have discontinued finasteride / minoxidil if that's the case etc. Since the more recent the easier it is to reverse the thinning. I personally think you'll be able to regain some ground but if its to your satisfaction is another question. Normally we always want the best result but that result is very rare without the use of a Hair Transplant, I can't say how well its gonna fill in if you start using the Big Three because everyone experiences different results. All I can say is that your hair is only going to get worse if you don't get on them, so its up to you do you want to continue fighting or do you want to just give up and accept male pattern baldness? No one can tell you if it'll save it or not; not even a doctor. Take care and good luck.

I'm 30. Started propecia when I was 18. Quit at the age of 27. I started minoxidil at 28 and quit at 29. I've been off all medications for a year and a couple months. I virtually lost almost all of my hair within a year of quitting. It wasn't quite as bad as it is now 6 months ago. I've also been keeping my hair a lot shorter than normal.

For me being satisfied would be for the entire area there is hair to get thick enough to be covered and be able to comb with only mild thinning being noticeable. But honestly, I'm probably just going to continue to go bald and not take the medications.

I would say so yes, you still have miniaturized hair all over your scalp

depends on the extent of miniaturization actually. you seem to be a little farther along the process in terms of miniaturization, but like folliclefuel said, they are minituarized rather than gone.

it honestly is predicated on what you mean by "save." As someone that drastically reversed the miniaturization process with finasteride exlusively (DPA), I can say that you can have the potential for substantial thickening of your existing and vellus hairs. The minoxidil could further regrow some hair for some folks.

Overall, though, don't expect to get long flowing locks. In all likelihood, you would have to resort to more conservative hairstyles. Crazy blowouts and excessive product probably is out of the question. additionally, the hairline may be compromised a tad bit.

I am 38. I started much much worse than you with only a horseshoe with hardly in between. I have covered halfway between that and your picture in last 6 months with big 3. I would say if you get on them you will definitely thicken up. Also I now believe keeping hair short (#4 say) looks much better when you are diffused. I always get compliments that I look less bald and fresh whenever I do the haircut.

I think the Big 3 could work because you are diffuse thinning and diffuse thinners seem to do well with current treatments. You might want to consider dutasteride instead of finasteride.
