Hello,
It was around a year ago now I started on my hair loss journey. I remember when I first posted on this forum and my anxiety was at a peak and I spent at least the next 6 months of my life constantly worrying about my hair, which was half of 2018 wasted. I thought of every type of situation that could be causing my loss whether it be stress or thyroid issues (which I got tested and I was fine). I was 19 at the time, and would style my hair the hide it, which in fact made it look worse and I used so much product my hair looked like straw. My hairline was my main concern and it originally arose when a work colleague mentioned it.
I started treatment with Regaine which I've been using for 12 months now and later begun Finasteride which is now at 11 months. Overtime I've also introduced Nizoral (Once a week) and Alpecin (Once a week). These obviously have helped me, but I believe my key has been my mental attitude and lifestyle. I begun mediation, exercising more and eating healthy and I saw a rapid improvement as my lifestyle this time last year was atrocious.
Here are my results, I'll be posting it with the same four angles I posted last year, but with today's look next to it.
My hairline has always been receded like this which is evident in childhood photos (I had a buzzcut), but I decided to not take a risk and start treatment. I believe my hair has thickened due to removing stress from my life - well, at least reducing it.
I wanted to share my results with everyone but my main point for people battling hair loss is that as much as medication is important, don't forget all the other factors that can help you.
