Hello , I am a 46 yr old male with receding hairline and and thinning hair. I just recently decided to do everything I can to fight this , I have currently began the following approach, please let me know your thoughts and opinions , thank you.

1. Prp with A-cell , 1 treatment so far , next is in 90 days.
2. Rogaine foam twice a day
3. Nutrafol hair vitamins , 4 a day.
4. Wash my hair with the “ more hair naturally “ shampoo set. Have also used nioxin etc in the past.

considering adding in capsilus laser cap as a 5th option.

thanks for any and all info !

Why do you choose not to go on a 5AR inhibitor? Only a single major Nutrafol study (which was funded by the manufacturer) was done. That study was on women only, so effect on men is unknown.

I did not include propecia etc because of the possible side effects.

I agree that the nutrafol is probably worthless. Don’t think anyone has ever posted any real results with that.

I respect the decision you made not to use such drug class. Presumably, you have spoken to a trusted health professional and made a sound decision so not to fallen prey to internet misinformation. With this said, your current regimen may not (and will not likely) yield the results you are aiming for. At a minimum, without a 5AR inhibitor, your current regimen does not match your stated aim to "just recently decided to do everything I can to fight this". As long as you understand the limitation, no one other than you can be the best judge on what to use and what not to use. Once the dermal hair papilla cell die off, there are no known current accepted therapies (including 5AR inhibitor) that will bring them back to reverse your hair loss.

I did not include propecia etc because of the possible side effects.

While this regimen might improve its appearance, (and I stress the word might), it may also make things worse. Regardless, even if you respond positively to the regimen, it isn’t going to do a thing to slow down the progression of male pattern baldness. Unfortunately, finasteride and dutasteride are the only things capable of doing that..

Sorry for the question but what you want to achieve? your situation already really bad, you lost all the front half, it looks like sh*t. those meds will never recover this. unless you are planning on some transplant there is no reason to try to save anything, you better off just shave it.

Thanks for the kind words.
I am hoping to thicken up the existing hair and fill in the thinning areas. I am not looking to reclaim my old hairline.
Ill post a pic in 3 months and at 6 months as my approach requires some patience to see results.

Min causes major shedding at the begining. If you’re a good responder, these hairs are replaced with better quality hairs. If you’re not a good responder, however, the hair you shed may never regrow.

In other words, it can expedite the progression of male pattern baldness; it won’t cause any additional hair loss, (as the hair that falls would have done so eventually), but it can cause affected hair to fall out ahead of schedule.

46 without finasteride or duta? you are fighting a battle that you cannot win.

at the very last you should be applying topical finasteride as well

He is 46, the chances of finasteride sides are not worth it. No one cares that he's balding at that age.

you are wrong, balding is repulsive at all ages (this isn't a personal insult towards anyone).

most people cringe whenever they see a bald (or balding) man

they also cringe when they talk about incels such as yourself

only difference is you'll never know about all the people who laugh at you behind your back

Well thanks for all the tips .

I think my approach is a solid one based on my research .
The prp with acell should invigorate my scalp and help wake up the follicles that are not dead yet, same for the minoxidil.
the nutrafol will give any new or thinning hair the nutrition they need to grow strong.
And I am keeping my scalp clean and healthy with a shampoo conditioner set designed for thinning hair.

I may at some point introduce a laser cap such as capsiluss but I haven’t decided on that yet, maybe someone with personal experience with a laser cap could offer their opinion ?
