Just started taking 100 mg of oral spironolactone. Within a week i had one day where my nipples got sore. Then my scalp started to burn a bit and I lost some belly fat!! I'm also taking dutasteride along with this. Is it possible that the spironolactone could be giving me a massive testosterone surge??

Yes, it is possible, the same thing happened to me. Well, not a thinner waist, but I could definitely notice an increase in T. For me, it seemed to go away in about two weeks. I know everyone is different, and hormone regulation is such a complex topic!

Are you a male or a female? 100 mg/day would be quite a bit of spironolactone to take for a guy and not expect to get sides...

Yes it's possible. It should go away after a month and then you also should notice spironolactone's anti androgenic power (sides). I'm also taking 100 mg since late August along with dutasteride.

Sore / itchy nipples should be a red flag. Any time you alter your hormones you run the risk of running into some nasty side effects, I.E Gynecomastia in males. I'd keep a very close eye on that. It doesn't take much to knock your system out of whack...
