Can anyone pm me with some other sites with more active hair transplant forums? I like gourmetstylewellness.com for everything but hair transplant since this section isn't very active. I already know of HLH and HS, but from reading those it sounds like there are only 10 competent doctors in the whole world. Any other sites?

Sites with high volumes of activity in itself can also be dangerous because many are posts that are intentionally directing patients to certain docs that pay the big bucks in sponsoring that particular community. We have all read them. They are often politically and money motivated. Obviously there is some good content in them too. One has to be able to decipher through all of the activity to know the difference.

I try to evaluate forums with how much of the content and dialogue is helpful clinical information that is helpful to patients, and if the fourm has a helpful environment verses the pushing of certain select docs thing.

Why would you want them to pm you and not share it to help other people?

And listen to gillenator.

Usually sites that are active are ones that sponsor or advertise docs. Docs that post on sites generate activity. HLH is one but there is alot of politics on that site that can be detrimental to the newbie seeking a hair transplant.
There is little activity in this section here b/c there is no doctor to patient interaction and very little MD advertising. Not necessarily a bad thing it just is what it is. I personally think one should scan all sites and take as much as possible that is pertinent in making their decision.

Could you possibly give my friend Marcules a penis enlargement?

Considering how much he cried after I circumcised him last week, I'm not really sure that's a good idea.

'Stop hairloss' is a friendly enough board that seems to focus on surgery rather than treatment, be prepared to see the name 'Dr Feller' crop up in every post though.. His showcase (Spex) runs the site.

The best Hairloss forum on the net is hairlossadvances.com

The mod is a hair transplant patient and has been posting on the other sites for many years. He got tired of all of the shills and BS on the other forums so he started his own.

No edited posts, no deleted threads and anything goes. So long as you dont talk about bomb making or killing govt officials you can openly criticize any Dr provided you are not a shill that bashes for another clinic.

He is also very clever and if you use the same IP and log in as different users he will remove all of the posts.

I post 90% of the time on that site because I can tell the truth without mods banning me for slamming one of their sponsors.

Balloonman- I checked it out ,It has alot of sponsors/ advertising, but not alot of traffic. I am glad it does'nt have censoring though that's refreshing. That is also true of this site. There is far less marketing here though.

It does have a good amount of sponsors and advertising but, you can say whatever you want about them and no one edits the post, provided it is within reason and with merit.

I agree the traffic is still light but, it gets busier every day, I only wish it became super busy because the info that could be discussed on that site could help so many.
