Anyone have notice that people with severe gray hair, with severe I mean not even a single black hair, always have a thick hair and most of them have a full head of hair or a minor receding hair line, and I have notice an year ago I have a gray hair on the middle of miniaturized hair it was really thick and it seems like miniaturizing is not affecting it at all.
Anyone have notice that?

i think you just notice when someone still has hair whenever they are old enough to have gray hair, then they keep it at a decent length, plenty of older baldies with gray hair have what's left buzzed or shaved otherwise.

That's why people who still have hair tend to be graying with age... Logic

As someone who started going grey in his early 20's at about the same time he slowly started receding that has not been my own personal experience! At the tender age of 39 and 17 years on treatments I'm just about holding a NW2-2.5. I'm not ashamed to admit I dye my hair every 4 weeks.

I would chose greying, yeah greying is sucks but balding is f*****g sucks.

Oh for sure, there's no contest. A true fullhead who has grey hair looks cool as f***. Provided there is NO androgen damage to the hair. Lots of older guys have old man hair (diseased looking texture and consistency) even if they aren't balding per se.

What Norwood were you in your early 20s

I was a solid NW2 - it's quite possible by then I had acquired a mature hairline. Hairline had always been high due to the long shape of my face. It's quite possible that I had no male pattern baldness at that time. That said I was unwilling to take any risks. I've been fortunate. The recession in my case has been slow.

Pretty much in the same boat. Started early 20s, always had a high hairline. Problem with having a high hairline is minor receding looks worse because it doesn't have to go that far.

You are absolutely correct. I've just switched from Propecia to Dutasteride in order to maximise results. Due to severe illness I stopped treatments for several years and lost some ground. Im using minoxidil too. I'm giving it 6-12 months to see how I respond and then will consider a transplant. My main mantra's in terms of this whole hair loss journey has been acceptance (not easy in the early stages!), having realistic expectations and arming yourself with knowledge. Let's just see how the next 6-12 months go!
