i was on propecia for 8 days. i stopped becuase of ED and penis shrinkage. One month later, the shrinkage is gone, but the ed still persists.

i was only on for 8 days, meaning 8 pills. is that enough to cause pernamnet sides,,or should i give myself more time to see?

Everything you experienced is totally psychological. If anything it will increase your sex drive and testosterone levels. And dude, no-way no-how will propecia make youe "Johnson" shrink.

The penis shrinkage you observed was totally normal and was the result of what we call "shedding". Once you take finasteride, your dick gets thinner and thinner and ultimately falls down. Stay on your regiment. After a couple of months, your dick will regrowth, much thicker and longer.

mine shrank to about 2cm. Then it regrew when I jerked off with Minoxidil and now I'm a 12 -incher :punk:

on a more serious note, people like Mew at PropeciaHelp.com are bitter lying scumbags. There is NO evidence for permanent sides from finasteride, and only a small percentage of users will get temp sides.

Those with permanent side effects are in the minority of users no doubt, but it is a legit complaint from the drug. Here's why:

I'm not going to even bother responding to the childish name-calling. Don't say I'm lying when the proof is put out by Merck themselves.

yeah I literally recall laughing when I read someone complaining about this 2+ years ago when I started finasteride.

I'm not laughing anymore. My opinion of propecia has taken a complete 180, just as it will for other guys here (although a minority).

The vast majority of people do not experience side effects. The vocal minority who do, tend to seek out online sources to get help. What you see in this thread is not an accurate representation of the prevalence of side effects. Clinical study data is the only verifiable source of this information. If you have experienced side effects, it is your responsibility to discontinue the product immediately. We do not condone ignoring side effects, and then coming online to demonize a product.

8 days is too soon. Your ED is in your mind.

On a side note: I'm sick of propecia supporters bashing Mew just because he believes finasteride can cause permanent sides. The safety of finasteride needs a lot more research and I hope people like Mew can generate pressure to make that happen. I'm on finasteride, but safety comes first; As soon as I notice any sides, I'm quitting.
