Hi

can anyone confirm if my crown is balding or if it’s simply a cowlick or parting?

Thank you

It seems like the first stages of thinning and Androgenetic Alopecia, yes.

Now it's the perfect time to start with treatments.

First step, and the most important: go see a dermatologist. He'll tell you if its Androgenetic Alopecia or not.

After that, he'll ask you to start taking Finasteride and / or Minoxidil. I would always start with Finasteride but it needs to be prescribed.

Start with hair vitamins, good shampoo, good food, healthy lifestyle and dermarolling.

Thanks for the feedback.

I just thought I'd give an update on my progress as it has been some 6 months since I posted, which is around about the time when I started taking Finasteride 1mg religiously on a daily basis, at present I don't take or use anything else except for normal shampoo and conditioner. Oh and multi vitamins.

When I first started taking finasteride I did notice severe shedding for 3+ months. It was quite scary to be honest because it seemed to be getting worse during the first few months, much worse. Needless to say I decided to stick with the finasteride. Oddly I still seem to be shedding despite the improvement (I think?) but not quite so much.

Here is the progress so far. As you can see I've got a bit of a messy mop on my head atm. Unfortunately all the barbers are closed in the UK so it will have to stay messy for a while. :)

Cheers
