It's good to see some sense being stated in the otherwise insane mainstream news.

The main argument of the article is that women are not refusing to have kids because of careerism, but because of trying to find "Mr. Right" and fairytale relationships.
I think they fail to account for the fact that careerism actually does play a huge part in why women aren't finding "Mr. Right"

It also fails to account for the fact that, relevant to us, there's no woman imagining "Mr. Right" as a guy, especially a young one, with receding hairlines or baldspots. Of which, studies are showing are now more prevalent than in the past.

From the moment a woman turns 18, she has about 6 - 8 years to get with a guy and start having kids. Her fleeting beauty and fertility is her greatest social currency. Men in their 30s who are still desirable to women will be able to get with younger ones.
However, so long as the current ethical standards are upheld, I don't think the majority of millennial women, the youngest of which are almost 30 now, are going to settle for "Mr. Good Enough" anytime soon.
Likewise, every fat nerd guy thinks he deserves a 10.
