Your hair is already really short anyways, so what' the big deal with shaving it with no guard? You'll look fine with it shaved, be happy :p.

Yeah, man, you really look good with the shaved look, but also wouldn´t hurt your looks if you let some stubble exist up there!!.

How do you do that Photoshop thingy ? What version do you use...

So when are you planning to get it all off ? It will look great

I am using version cs2. Its pretty simple to do using the bandage tool and then applying a shado to your scalp using the gradient tool and then adjusting the opacity. Will also need to be familiar with the pen tool to make your head a selection..

It's hard to tell the degree of hairloss you have, but when you grow it out does it really look that bad? Sorry if I have't read your other posts, but how long have you been on Finasteride and minoxidil? Maybe you can go baldy for 6-12 months while continuing treatment, then grow your hair out later to see if it's come back.

I have been struggling with it since 20, got real bad about 6 months ago. I have been on minoxidil since and was on finasteride and minoxidil for about a year which seemed to be helping then I stopped the finasteride for a few months and all went to hell. So i got back on but am not rebounding, it just keeps getting worse. If I let it grow for a couple months it looks ok longer, but it looks like crap until then.

first off, are nice job on the photo shop (the frontal shot, the side shot makes you look like you mad bumps on your head.. just a photoshop critique.. lol) Looks good either way. Maybe try buzzing it a 1 on the sides and back then a 3 on the top... or a 0 on the sides and back then a 2 on the top. The two gaurd difference approach works for me. Althoguh I have buzzed my hair completely and like the way it looks, I still like to keep some hair on the top of head, the little that is left... lol. But for real, it looks good shaving it totally. Honestly try it anyway you want. Considering how short your hairr is (as is mine), from experience I know it grows back to it's original short length fast.

Good luck!

Hi .. am hoping someone can give me abit of advise, have just started a regime and got some kirkland minoxidil and am about to get some proscar and cut it into 1/4`s and have one a day. But was looking into using revivogen as a topical serum but have heard that something else is cheaper and just as effective? Something called "Zix" so if anyone could help me out on this Zix stuff i would appreciate it....Cheers

I stopped using rogaine and it feels so much better not having the itching, I will probably ease off the finasteride in the coming month.

Thanks again to everyone, always great to have support, its a tough thing to just shave it off. Just figured being 24 I am just putting off the inevitable so I might as well just get it over with and learn to live with it instead of thinking about it all the time.

Yup, the shaved look definitely suits you.

Most people don't realize how much better they can look with a shaved head. I notice WAY more girl checking me out when I have a shaved head than when my hair's long. Even when I had a full head of hair I never used to get the kind of looks I get when I shave it. Could be b/c I have hair like Bruce Lee so obviously it looks better shaved... or b/c everyone thinks I'm south american (I'm actually asian), and latino's generally can pull off the shaved look better than caucasians.

Anyways, my advice to everyone who hasn't shaved their head is to at least try it.... you never know, you could actually look much better and it requires almost zero maintenance.
