Please Help. Am I Receding/thinning ?

Hi people. Well this seems like the place to ask this so, in your opinion, judging by my pics would you say I'm receeding or losing my hair? I'm 33yo, and pretty paranoid Im losing it : /

If you think I am.. How bad are we talking? I would really appreciate your insight as I'm starting to drive my girlfriend crazy.

Oh and ignore the stubbly part of my hairline.. Last barber I went to recently, decided it would be a great idea to shave my hairline straight.. So I am currently growing that part back.

Primarily the sides of my hairline? You don't see that it's receeding/thinning?

Sorry, did you mean you can't see anything because the pics aren't clear enough or because you don't seem any signs of recession?

Maybe some slight thinning at the sides but nothing to worry about, im 20 and close to a norwood 3.. if you are that paranoid get on finasteride and you could probably keep your hair til the day you die. I unfortunately had an adverse effect to finasteride and its accelerated my hair loss.. too scared to drop it though. You've got it easy, you have better hair than every single person on this forum. I will be lucky to have hair at 25, you are beyond privileged in the hair department. Look at your friends hairlines, i bet your hairline is better than most of theirs.

Im 200% sure its the finasteride, i started receding at 14 and by the time i was 19 i was Norwood 2 with plenty of temple hair, 8 months later i have no temple hair left and my hairline has receded further, i can check a hair strand ( i have long hair ) to before my finasteride use, it was decently thick and at the end with the bulb the hair stand is transparent and extremely thin im on oral minoxidil too now though, only 2 weeks in so no results yet.

Sounds like maybe finasteride is a bit of a risk. Why do you think it affected you so badly?

@Yojimbo Dude you literally have a full head of hair at 35! If you are to be bald someday, it sure wont be noticable for decades. You are just paranoid, now go enjoy your beautiful hair and stop making us all jealous haha

I'm sorry, I hope I haven't offended anyone. It's just I've only noticed this thinning in the past couple months, and I seem to be shedding hair more by the day

@Yojimbo Its alright, after all everyone on this forum is concerned about hairloss.. However with your current state i would not be worried at all, perhaps it could be the start of male pattern baldness, but at 35 it would be very gradual. You are still Norwood 1, most people dont notice until norwood 3. In your case if the very minimal thinning you have does progress nobody would even notice until you are in your fifties and at that age it just looks like normal hair. The bottom line is it is natural to receed some as you age. Can you imagine someone in their sixies with a perfect hairline? Maybe but wouldn't it look unnatural? You drew the long straw bud, just enjoy your life because when it comes to hair you got it so much better than alot of guys. I will probably be completely bald by 30 if the treatments keep failing me. I would kill for your hair. Now go and don't come back Take care
