Hello!
I am 28. I began noticing loosing hair few years ago but did nothing due to my case not being "bad". Now I am between III Vertex and IV on Norwood-Hamilton scale (bald spots are not completely bald - there is a little bit of hair covering). Also, recently the skin feels itchy there.
All I am doing right now is consuming Chia Seeds. Please help me with any recommendations of where to start and what I need to do. If there is some type of way to stop this without lots of side effects, it would be great. I begin feeling depressed. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

I've read here to do the big 3

oral anti androgen
topical nizoral 2% shampoo every 3 days
Rogaine

I can't use rogaine to drying for my already dry hair and scalp. I use a reduced version of the oral anti androgen and compensate with saw palmetto. I do nizoral every 4 days. You have to find what works for you. Also the anti androg's have sides that are not good.

they encourage you to count hairs and i've done this to help determine what was working and what wasnt. It's good to try internal stuff several months (3) over time.

Thanks! Would Rogaine, 2% Nizoral Shampoo, and Chia Seeds (Omega-3) work as a combination? Also, if I don't wash my hair for 1 day, it becomes oily. I've been washing my hair daily since I was 16.

Also, when you said Nizoral every 3-4 days, what do I use in-between? regular shampoo?

Where can I purchase these products? Do I need a prescription?

Thank you!!!!

Make sure you keep washing your hair properly. My hair is receding and I was a little too careful while cleaning my hair around the areas with hairloss. This caused itchy red bumps to form.

I decided to use:

1. Nizoral 2% shampoo.
2. Nioxin vitamins for hair.

Do you think this combination is somewhat effective?

I really do not want to take any pills due to digestive issues.

Any recommendations on how to use Nizoral 2%?

My goal is to stop my hair loss. Honestly, if I can stop the loss process and stay where I am at - that would be awesome.

I know that we have alot of people with knowledge on this forum. So, any recommendations, approvals, or disapprovals are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Nioxin vits will likely not stop the hair loss. It's helped with some growth though. Its more of an additional.

Here, most have been helped with the big 3

nizoral 2%
Rogaine
An oral anti androgen

Research it here.

I also add Nioxin vits and MSM for growth or reduction in shed.

You'll have to research and try things for yourself.

Yes, I think Nioxin is giving me an allergy anyway. Do you know any other good vits? What about "Hair Essentials"?

Any recommendations on how to use nizoral 2%? I read some reviews and some people say it will cause user to loose 50% of hair in just 4 weeks? Is this true? I cant risk like that.....

Nioxin I try to use every 3 days. Some start out more frequently. Apply twice make sure you let it soak in the duration of the shower. You must get this by prescription, nizoral 2%. It's drying so get a good conditioner. No it didn't cause me to shed. On the contrary. With every wash it decreased my shed.

As for an antiandrogen some people try the topical route some the internal route and many both. Check out the success section. I'm going to get some topical spironolactone as it doesn't have the alkie to dry out my hair and it blocks dht to prevent degradation over time. but some dont try this route. They might do minoxidil/rogaine or it in combo with other chemicals to further increase growth or block dht, amazon has some products that some here use. Read up you will learn alot

Ah nah. I hate to hear that about Nioxin. It gave my solid, basic regimen, a boost for growth. It is the only hair vit that I've actual growth from. It's helped my temples thicken up some.

I've heard hairfinity is good also. But the active ingredient is MSM mostly and some biotin. I already have these separately then added NIOXIN since it has some male pattern baldness fighting essentials.

But those are the supplementals.
The important things are those that help you slow up shedding and regrow thinning, balding spots.

You really should take pics. Many do this in the sucess area of the site.

Thank you!

Could you please list exact names of the vits you recommend?
