please help with this regimen

so i went to the dermatologist yesterday. he thought i looked like a nw3! however, i think i'm more an nw2 (i'll let you guys decide as soon as i post pics). he wrote me the prescription for propecia and sent me to take my blood test to test for PAS. i haven't filled the prescription yet as i'll wait for my blood results.

i want to get started on a good regimen. i know most people do the finasteride, nizoral, rogaine combo. i'm definitely not in a rush but want to get going.

any suggestions on amounts to start with? also where do i get nizoral from? do i need rogaine right now or is nizoral and finasteride fine for now?

well if you're just receding in a standard NW2 shape, i'd jump on the finasteride (1mg/day) to halt it. if you later decide that you want to regrow your temples, then you can add minoxidil (rogaine) because from what I've read you generally aren't going to regrow that particular area with finasteride alone. however its worth waiting on the minoxidil for a few months - just in case.

the very least you could do for now is start with nizoral 2-3x a week. there's no risk and it's cheap. you can buy it in a pharmacy or supermarket usually, i can't recommend any as I don't know where you live (USA?).

thanks for your quick reply, flimflam! yes, i'm from the US and i'm 33 yrs old. i'm pretty excited that i'm beginning the battle vs. continuing to delude myself that it'll stop. i appreciate your help!
