Ive been taking propecia for 4 days in a row now at 1mg per day, and to make a long story short i've decided i dont want to take propecia anymore, however i dont know how to come off it, is it safe to just come off cold turkey since ive only been on it for 4 days? or should i taper off it? and if so how frequently at how many mgs????

When you wake up tomorrow morning look in the mirror and tell yourself "I am done with Finasteride" and with every ounce of willpower you can muster don't take one. Do the same thing the following day and if you can successfully make it to day three without a Finasteride you are golden.

well im guessing it will just bald at the same rate it was before taking finasteride, no more and no less, i want to look into different solutions, i already feel its had an effect on my sex drive

I suggest you abuse your drug of choice (mine is alcohol) to cope with the fact that you’re gonna lose your hair if you don’t take finasteride

Are you experiencing major side effects? If not, why are you wanting to quit? The benefits of finasteride usually far outweigh the cons.
There's a lot of scaremongering about Finasteride and even Minoxidil. Very few people experience libido issues because in the vast majority of cases it actually increases testosterone as finasteride stops testosterone being converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which obviously causes male pattern baldness.
Quite frankly, I've experienced issues with sex the other way. I can have sex 3-4 times a day and still masturbate afterwards and I'm 37. Prior to finasteride, I could only manage sex twice a day if I was extremely lucky.
It's a bit of a pain that I'm horny all the time and can ejaculate like Peter North 3-4 times a day but my hairline has reverted back to when I was 23-24 within 2.5 months. I've gone from a Norwood 3 Vertex to a strong Norwood 2. I've also taken years off my appearance due to my hairline moving forwards 1.5 cm.
I'd reconsider quitting tbh.

Im glad its worked for you, and no i've not experienced any major sides, from what i've read with finasteride is that it can give sides at any time, people have reported getting sides after 5 years, and then theres post finasteride syndrome where guys get sides by coming off it. I just dont want to regret taking it somewhere down the line. I do feel like its had a positive effect on my hair, even after 4 days, although no visible effect but it just felt like the hair was stronger, maybe its not my head i dont know. I could be wrong about the sides ive experienced, i feel like its harder to get an erection although my erection quality before taking it wasnt great either, im just at a loss with what to do, i missed yesterdays dose, im contemplating on if i should just take it again, i know i depressed im gonna be if i lose my hair, but i hoping for another option, i was thinking of getting spironolactone cream and just apply that instead, regrowth would be great but ill be happy if i can just have a preventive measure for now

I wouldn't worry about what if's that may never even effect you. If you get a side effect, then you come off it and it's reversible. Having this level of fear about unknown side effects that may not even be relevant to you isn't logical. Take it from someone who's likely a lot older, having an irrational fear like this will paralyze you in life particularly with regards to things outside your comfort zone. You could walk out of your door tomorrow and get mugged or shot or run over. No point planning for 5 year what if's that are very likely irrelevant.

@verc88 - The only side effects I've got from Finasteride are massively increased testosterone and an off the chart sex drive. I literally want to f*** anything that moves...all day, everyday. I've not had a sex drive like this since my mid teens.
The other advantage of increased testosterone is that I've lost about 5 pounds and toned up without actually doing anything.

also ive missed one dose, would it have a negative impact on me if i miss one dose then start again a day or 2 after? sorry if these questions sound dumb, im quite new to all this
@verc88 - Here's the thread I started. Should be of interest. I've seen some amazing gains on Finasteride and Minoxidil! Just look at the pictures I've attached - it's only 2.5 months. Most of my friends and family were highly skeptical and are now gobsmacked by the results.
