Poll: How many experienced scalp itch while on finasteride?

I am still experiencing scalp itch on month six of finasteride. I haven't read much about itchiness as a reported side effect, so I thought I would get a sampling from you guys.

yes, intesnse from time to time. best in the morning worst later during workout or stressed. itchy all over after starting propecia. on 11th month now

Have you tried supplementing your routine with nizoral 1% shampoo? I have heard that helps alleviate the itching for some members, and may help boost your hair count to boot.

Are you guys losing hair in your itchy areas? Because I've heard people say their scalp itch went away after starting finasteride but if you are losing hair in those areas then it sounds like inflammation, which is not good.

As this site recommends....use nizoral shampoo once every 3 days. It's an easy add and it has the potential to tackle inflammation.

Yes, I am losing hair in the itchy areas. I guess I will start using Nizoral. Can the hair loss caused by inflammation be reversed?

the opposite happended to me. I would get intense itch in the parts that I was losing hair in and it went away when I started taking finasteride.
