I don't use Propecia, but, I'm going to go to that link and take the poll a few times and pretend that I got terrible, terrible life-threatening side effects from it just because I'm a whiner and I like the attention.
I'm kidding, guys. But, I think you get my point?
I see your point, but the poll checks IP addresses and cookies to make sure people don't vote multiple times, and if someone gets off on voting falsely or voting if they're not even taking Propecia then so be it.
I completely agree with gourmetstylewellness.com's post. The poll should definately be taken with a grain of salt, or maybe a whole salt shaker of salt. It's obviously not scientific and is only sampling people on gourmetstylewellness.com.com who participate in the poll.

Also keep in mind the poll will always be lopsided because its intent is to record side effects and the majority of people who don't get side effects won't even be looking at this site anymore.
This raises a very interesting question. Why do people on this site seem to be so likely to have side effects? The Merck data shows about a two percent side effect rate, but this seems to be way off of the percent of people posting on this site who experience side-effects. This is based not only on this poll so far but also on just reading the boards for a while. There's alot of talk about the side-effects, even stuff like gyno which in Merck's studies wasn't shown to occur any more often in people taking Propecia than in people taking Placebo.
I think it's possible that some of you who are experiencing side-effects are experiencing them not because of the Propecia, but simply because you're so
worried about experiencing them. It's like people who are cured of a disease by a placebo; their mind honestly thinks they're going to be cured so their body makes it happened. This is the reverse effect. If you're with a girl and you're worried about not performing well because you're on Propecia, then you're definately not going to perform well.
Obviously, a lot of people experiencing side-effects are genuinely experiencing them, but I just think this is something to consider.
Actually, as one final thought, this premise could be expanded to balding in general. If you're not worried about going bald it's probably not going to affect your life too much. The real problem is lack of confidence.
