Possible new treatment?

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I'm back on to see if anyone has heard anything about this product for scalp loss. There is a new FDA-approved drug to thicken eyelashes, Latisse, which is the same active ingredient as that used in Lumigan, a glaucoma drug. They found that patients using lumigan were growing really thick eyelashes so it was approved for this use this year. If you look on the Latisse website there are some very promising before and after pictures of eyelashes.

So it's not a huge leap to think that this could be used on the scalp. I'd be willing to bet that the company is investigating this now. Has anyone heard anything about this product and/or thought about trying it? It requires a prescription and is quite expensive but there are sites online selling it overseas much cheaper. I'm not sure if these are trustworthy, but if they are I'm willing to give it a try.

yeah most here have already even found the raw ingredients to concoct a homemade solution using the bimatoprost in it. It looks promising but not enough user success yet to herald it as anything significant.

I'm using Rogaine in the front and have two super long eyebrows that i need to cut on each side, like over an inch long.I had a pubic hair that was like six inches long lol true story. I'm growing hair everywhere but where i want it. I bet rogaine would work on womens eyebrows but they probably wouldn't like the stache .
