Postponing Minoxidil 5%...... What Do You Think?

Dear fellow thinning friends,

I am currently 32 days on finasteride and so far no sides (Thank the Lord), however, I am postponing minoxidil. I am studying abroad now and I would like my (potential) minoxidil shed at home. Does postponing the use of minoxidil cause any negative results on the long term total result.

1). Using Finasteride + Minoxidil 5% at age 22
2). Using Finasteride (age 22) + Minoxidil 5% at age 23 i.e. exactly 1 year later

Do 1 and 2 have different long term results? In lets say 10 years? Since Minoxidil does not really battle the DHT conversion.

I am trying to make the same decision as you. I have been on finasteride for a couple months and would be happy with just maintenance but would love some regrowth. Have considered minoxidil but just dont know if would be worth the effort for me personally. I would like to see how I respond to finasteride after a year, but just don't want to kick myself later for not starting minoxidil now.
