Last night I put my first order in for DR. Lee's 5% minoxidil. Today I received an e-mail which basically reads: your order will not be sent, and you need to send $20 along with a form answering a few medical questions. Having done research on this site about Dr. Lee, I must have missed the part where I needed an online consultation from him for 5% minoxidil. I can stomach the part about his product costing more than the average minoxidil product sold at Walmart ,grocery stores, drug stores etc... but for him to try to get MORE money, to sell me an overpriced product, is just unacceptable. 5% minoxidil is an fda approved non-prescription topical. What does he put in there that would require a doctor cosultation? ...BTW....I ordered the minoxidil w/out betamethasone or Retin-a.

He's making a custom product that nobody else is. He also sells spironolactone online which requires a script. He keeps your records on file so when you have questions for him later he can have a better idea of what you're using and give you a more precise answer. To me the $20 is no biggy. It's a one time charge and the only way you'll get what your looking for. I believe you can alos avoid the $20 fee if you have your own Dr. give you a script.

$16 a month for minoxidil is pretty good to me. His product has %30 PPG vs %50 PPG found in regular minoxidil brands. Yeah it is a bit of a punch to the stomach the first order with the added $20.

Geo

I used Walgrees for a bit too. Have you noticed the bottles seem to be short on ml's? When I first used Rogaine I transfered my fluid in emoty walgreens bottles (since the F-ERS at Rogaine don't use droppers anymore) and my bottle would be stained due to excess minoxidil over the fill line. So either Rogaine gives you too much or Walgreens' shorts you a bit. I'm assuming it's Rogaine giving a bit too much per bottle.Anyway, no one makes a better dropper than Wlgreens. Dr Lees is too small and the old Rogaine ones are huge.

CASSIN-

im pretty new to the whole game. so to me, i wouldnt catch quantity differences...

reading this guys message, though, and being new myself...i can definitly say (having started with lee's stuff only) that the walgreen stuff is pretty cheap and good at night, however, i would never put the stuff on my head during the day...it is a good example of that "greasy" look you hear about..lee's stuff is no different that hair gel...makes my hair look think during the day, no grease...sooooo it way worth it..cause otherwise , i wouldnt do minoxidil at all...

so i do minoxidil and nizoral..doing good so far...debating finasteride...what do u think cassin?

Sure. Dr. Lee charged me $20. However, I visited him once for 1 hour, and he has responded to over 20 of my emails.

I'll pay $20 for that ANY day.
