I saw this photo of prince William today and I think he has given in to Male pattern Baldness..I feel a bit disappointed for him because if he had chosen to fight hairloss he could have had some success..

With his money and contacts he may have saved his hair had he tried..

On a personal note at one stage I was level pegging with William but I decided to fight it with transplants and I'm glad I did,I wish he did but maybe he doesn't care abou image.jpgt hair like all of us common folk do.

Im sure he gave up ages ago.

He never started treatment young enough and didn't seem to care. I think he's accepted it - and accepted it a while ago.

it may have been a conscious choice, to show humility and imperfection, rather than being the stuck up, pampered, priviliged royal, he's a hard working young man who joined the army and went bald young. Certainly makes him more endearing to me anyway, than his brother... Maybe he just decided he would be more likable with such an in your face flaw...

I was at a restaurant recently with an English guy, a Japanese dude and a Japanese girl. The English guy was early 30s, a bad NW3 or maybe 4. The Japanese girl told him he looked like prince William. He really, really didn't, pretty sure she just said that because of the hair loss. It's weird for them that men would go so bald so young...

Emu, it looks like for a long time that Prince William didn't care too much about his hair, otherwise if he did I'm sure he would've at least tried to do something about it. I'm sure it bothered him to some extent when he first started losing hair, though basically learned to let it go. From that photo of him, he'll easily be a slick Norwood 6 in no time since how much his hair loss has progressed when he first started balding.

"You see, baldness doesn't matter, just become a prince!"

Apparently for some people.

Isn't this already Norwood 6? i have hairloss similar to him.

Yes, Prince William is practically a Norwood 6, not a full-blown slick one though, yet. I am thinning in the same pattern as he is, though my hair loss is becoming more undetectable since getting on treatments. From what it looks like, his temple points haven't been affected, mine have so they're being treated as well.

People on this forum who disregard the importance of frame (even with extremely thin wispy hair) will be able to witness its importance when Prince William becomes a slick NW6.

Earlier today, I was imagining myself without a frame (so without my hair transplant) for a few seconds. I felt paralyzed by fear for a few seconds. What a nightmare it would be.

Some hair is always better than no hair.

Yes, they'll notice the huge difference when he become's a slick Norwood 6, even the little hair he has left is completely important. Absolutely, some hair is always better than no hair. You could take a thick full-blown Norwood 1, completely shave off temple points, frame to the face is drastically altered negatively. Or even shave off eyebrows on anyone and appearance is negatively affected. The value of hair is undermined in the world we live in.

I'm sorry about your experience with Male Pattern Baldness. To be honest, your case has been one of the most devastating I've ever read about. I'm glad that your hair transplant has helped you so much, and good for you that your temple points weren't touched by the genetic condition, as I am prone to losing all of mine.

I am too Norwood 6 but not fully blownoff, its like i am Norwood 6 with 1000 hair fue hair grafts in throughout scalp.

I'm sorry about that Saurabhaj. When did you first start losing hair, and how fast and how aggressive? Were you aware of legit treatment options before it got to where your hair loss is now?

He still has a thick horse shoe from that picture, could get some coverage on top. I agree, he didn't want treat it a long time ago and doesn't hide it. I admire that. Kate is pretty too, has that elegant classy English look.

I was loosing hair when i was age 18 around year 2004/5,but it was only at vertex region,my hairloss was milder till age 22 2010,but as i was studying medical education,it was too stressful and too hectic,i need to study more than 10 hours with college, not sleeping more than 4/5 hours, when i was in major of mbbs,,i lost all my front hairline.

I knew the treatment well but i did not bother about hairloss untill i was NW6 in 2013 where i first tried Minoxidil, because i never felt that hairloss will kill my appearance, but now as i need to get ready for marriage,it is bothering me too much, as here there is a tradition of Arrange marriage where parents find a suitable match for you,and the boy and girl if compatible and they accept each other, they will give green signal for marriage.

I'd be tempted to trade my hair in if it meant banging Kate Middleton for the rest of my life.

I wonder if he would be "allowed" to take Finasteride by the powers that be. Seen as he is potentially future King of England and they are actively trying to conceive.

His hair loss is so severe compared to the rest of his family. He's already on par with Prince Andrew, and even his grandfather Prince Phillip has more hair on top. Seems like he doesn't care too much though, at least not enough to make a public statement, so good for him I guess.

In my opinion, a horseshoe cut short nice and clean looks better than a completely shaven head with absolutely no hair. It just doesn't look right when the entire head has absolutely no hair.

Bad hair coupled with bad teeth often precedes ignoble consequences.

I saw the comment that says "give me the ginger anyday.. forget the balding old fart" made by a YouTube user called 'ellebeesee'.

Once again, people putting baldness and age together. Does baldness make you look older? Yes; however, they're two completely separate unrelated things.

You would be wrong to do so. You would definitely look worse. I had to learn that lesson for myself.

To take a Belgian actor as an example:

"Just shave it all off bro!" is such a stupid advice.

A safe way for the fullheads to eradicate the balding guys from the competition.
Wait... Are you saying he looks better with hair? Lol...
I know it's subjective and all, but personally I think he looks better with the shaved head.
