prolonged shedding

hey i'm 23 and i've been on propecia and minoxidil for a bit over six months now. i started my regimen because of a receding hairline. as far as i knew there was no problem with my crown. however as soon as i started my crown began to thin out. i thought this was a shed and persisted but now i have sever thinning on my crown and diffuse thinning everywhere.

as its taken so long with no positive results (negative ones in fact), is it worth giving up now? or do i still have a chance of regaining what i've lost? i was under the impression that the shed hairs would grow back and would only last for a short period. is it likely that the regime doing the opposite than what it should?

any help would be great

if you are in finasteride for last 6 month it would've shown some positive results like dark hair except thin in crown and temple areas .

i think you hair need more anti-dht blockers ....

use nizoral to get rid of sebum and diffuse ...

the most important thing i can say is: i've never seen anyone gain benefits from quitting minoxidil and/or finasteride. i know it's a lame answer, but it seems to be the truth.

go get some nizoral. most ppl here seem to use the 2%, but it's prescription only, so i get the 1%. use it every other day, or, if your scalp is tolerant, maybe use it everyday.

also, were you applying minoxidil to your crown too? it sounds like you only applied it to your hairline and your crown started thinning out of nowhere.

if you havent been applying minoxidil to your crown, i say you should wait a couple more months to see if your crown is still bad. if it is, start applying minoxidil to the rest of your thinning areas.
