Propecia Beginning Of Gynecomastia Update

alright as you all know after taking 5 mg of proscar daily in an attempt to stop my receding hairline i have gotten a lump behind my nipples .
Today i had an appointment with a Doctor , i talked with him about propecia , the dude knows strictly nothing, he thought propecia blocked testosterone and recommend me cystine and vitamine b6 ^^. moreover he was also in total denial of his damn receding hairline , Norwood 3,5 but thinking it was his normal hairline .

then he said that i had maybe a beginning of gyno , or it was muscle , so he prescribed me a scanner .
i will do the scanner on friday , i keep you updated with the result , i hope i have no gland .

Ps; i am currently on 1,25 mg propecia and minoxidil . but this is sad , because i know advodart would thicken my crown and stop my greasy hair.

1mg is enought!

because i was desesperate man . I waited 17 month on propecia 1 mg and my hairline kept receding , i had to act .
But moral of the story , i did a mistake . 5 mg is too much , but it would have certainly stop my loss .

k guys , i really need your help and avice right now .

i just got my result , and i have a really small gland under my left nipples : less than 6 mm . But this is way this nipple was puffy .
So my endo told me to stop propecia for 1 month and to apply progestogel .

I am so depressed right now , i fucked myself alone , by trying 5 mg finasteride . SO don't believe those who say that increasing propecia dosage will do nothing . 1 mg propecia for 16 month with no sides , and 6 month of 5 mg =gyno , but better hair .

Will the fact of stopping for 1 month will ruin my hair ? i have to do this in order to kill the gyno which is really small

Stopping for one month... no one can accurately say one way or the other what that outcome may be. Why not step down to 1mg and see if nothing further develops?

I have got small lump under my nipple from finasteride 1mg but i had it before and it goes away after stopping so thats not a big deal

the important thing is 5ar2 in the DP . and 1 mg inhibits 86 % vs 90% for 5 mg . Small increase but some advantages and drawbacks obviously.

How much of a difference do you think that extra 4% reduction makes?

Personally, I believe there is a certain threshold of 5ar2 DHT that needs to be inhibited to stop androgenetic alopecia from progressing and I think finasteride 1mg is well above that threshold.

you are right roberto i have been and idiot by trying higher dosage of finasteride and now i am paying the price .
It was because i was desesperate to see my hairline keep receding and my crown thinnin even more on 1 mg .

now the lesson is learned , unfortunately i could never use duta, i am too sensitive to oestrogen raise . i will restart 1 mg as soos as possible.

We are all tempted to self-medicate and invent personalized dosages.
I learned the hard way this is a mistake. I used for three months a 15% minoxidil with God knows what additives and I lost half of my hair.
Now taking it from there and recovering after six months of hell.

because i have also the feeling that minoxidil have worsen my temple. i am using the normal 5 % lotion.

and i don't know how people achieve to handle duta without sides . For me it would have been brutal
i have never been a propecia scaremongers , but after only 3 days of break i have got my morning wood back . so don't mess up with the dosage , too much dht inhibition is not good.

But i know the importance of not stopping propecia, with hormonal fluctuation .
I know that i have the small gland , but i don't want to stop the stuff for 1 month . Don't you think i could take 0.25 mg EOD , just lower my dosage?

i know my body is strong , because 1 year ago i stop propecia for 10 days and my dht came back in range , and my oestrogen was not even measurable.

Side effects of dinasteride are dose dependant. So chances are that with a reduced dose does not interfere with your gland.
Have you spoken about this with your doctor?

unfortunately i haven't mentionned this with my Doctor .
I really don't want to stop propecia for 1 month , but i am planning on using it as long as the hair cure will be here .
And i also wan't to keep my great body, and even if the gyno is not noticable , i really hate the fact of having some gland ( things that i never had even during puberty ). SO maybe one month break will kill the tissue , and i can reintroduce 0,5 mg , then slowly go back to 1 mg?
