Propecia by itself or with minoxidil?

Hi all,
I just started taking propecia a few days ago. I began losing my hair slowly since I was younger. Now I'm 24 and it has picked up quite a bit in the last few months. No one really notices any loss of hair unless I point it out. I went to the doctor and he prescribed propecia. He told me it was still too early to tell if it's male pattern baldness or stress balding. I decided to be on the safe side and take it anyways.
Should I use it by itself of pair it up with minoxidil? Should I use the rogaine foam or the generic 5% stuff that can be had for 1/4 of the price?

Also, should I go with the nizoral 1% or tgel shampoo?

I'm guessing since I'm in the early stages propecia by itself should be sufficient. Any comments?

I'd definately start with the propecia and remain on that for about a year. I was in the same position as you and started minoxidil because I wanted to try and thicken up my front. I think minoxidil is what put me on such a rollercoster. you will get a bad shed at around 1 month that you won't get on propecia(at least not in that time frame, and for most). if your hair continues to get worse, then start on minoxidil. but make sure you take photographs to document your status month per month or whenever. minoxidil is a pain to keep on and in my experience does very little. I'm only still using it because I'm worried I'll lose more if I stop, to which no one can know for sure.
