Dear All

I am after some help please.

I am about to purchase my latest batch of Propecia online & am based in London, UK.

Could anyone suggest an outlet where I can be sure the batch is 100% genuine Propecia?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Warm regards.

If you want propecia and not a different finasteride alternative, then Boots hair retention programme seems to be the cheapest place.

I am doing some extended UK travel later in the year and was wondering the availability of products just in case. By then , I hope to have my dual Irish citizenship finalized, if that helps.

I pay £1 per month for a prescription of generic 5mg finasteride (£4 for 28 x 5mg which I quarter) from my local GP.

... jus sayin.

Did it take much of a discussion to get a prescription? I'm currently buying generics online, but that sounds like a much better option...

Not really. I initially asked for a private prescription of finasteride and the Doctor prescribed 1mg which of course meant Propecia when I came to pick it up. I took this for 2 months. Then I asked my pharmacist how much cheaper the generic 5mg stuff would be (=50 times cheaper)!

Next time I went to my doctor (it was actual a different Doctor available) I asked if he would prescribe me 5mg pills which I could cut with a pill cutter for the cost saving. He discussed it with a colleague but got back to me that day with a script for 28x5mg with a note on it that said 'patient to quarter pills to 1.25mg daily'.

I could have just been lucky but all in all I've now seen 3 doctors at my regular everyday practice and not met with any objections at all.

I think asking your doctor is worth a shot, I don't like the idea of ordering online. Plus seeing your doctor is just the right thing to do!
