well mates: Started Propecia exactly 5 years ago. I was 24 and know i'm 29.

I was MW 2 at the time and now I'm 2,5.

The product made a fantastc improvment in may hair in the first year. It looked I would never get bald.

At the age of 26 things started to get a bit worse and my hair became less tick. I added Nizoral and minoxidil. Improved again until 27. Then It started to came down again. Now it's not spectacular, but Propecia nizoral and minoxidil are, as far as i'm concerned, an eficient treatment.

At 23 I had the dream of reaching 30 with hair in my hair. I think i'm goint to make it. I don't belive that BS of Propecia and nizoral to mantain hair for sure in 80% of the men. but it's eficient compared with doing nothing. In my case, i think I won 3-4 years of hair. It's not much, but I managed to past my youth with hair and self confidence.

My advice is just one really: Never give up. don't stop tretaments, don't get down cos your hair passes trough a shed. Keep your mind focused in the final results. You won't win the war. But its possible toi give a fight and win some batles.

I think, after 5 years of treatment, propecia doesn't kick anymore. mybe I'll try dutasteride or something else. But I won't back down. Reching 35 with hair. My new dream.

so long..

Nice one.

I totally agree with everything you said there. Even if Finasteride only gave me an extra couple of years of good hair I would still carry on taking it. Remember that just because your hair is starting to go a little downhill, it doesn't mean that the Finasteride has stopped working, it is still slowing the hair lossand buying more time before you complete 'egg out' to NW6.

And as you were saying, you could always give dutasteride a try - it may produce fantastic results and buy you another 5 years.

Good luck.
