I am ready to order online for meds as I cannot seem to get a script for finasteride. I originally took Propecia and had the best success with it but the price for 90 pills is steep. Still, most of the stories of Proscar and Finpecia seem fairly mixed but the price is very wallet-friendly. Should I just stick with Propecia?

Finasteride is the active ingredient which is no longer under patent. So the name Propecia or Finpecia means nothing; they are just brand names. Save your money and ask for Proscar (or other equivalent brand). Then cut up the pill into 1/4s and your good to go on the cheap.

I imagine the stories you here are from people who order from sketchy online sources. Go to a different doctor, they should have no problems giving you a script; then make sure you go to a legit pharmacist.

I switched from Finasteride 1mg to Proscar (5mg) a few months ago and the price difference was amazing. It cost me $52 a month for the Finasteride 1mg , while for that same amount I got at least 3 months worth of Proscar. I wish I had done it sooner.
