Hi, I am new to the board. I am 34 and thinking about starting the propecia regimen for my hairloss. Should I start with propecia or generic (finasteride)? What is the best way to buy these products? Is there any websites that people recommend buying these products?

thanks,
B.

Honestly anytime you buy online you take a risk. I recommend you Doctor as the best option. Welcome to the forums.

I agree, buying online always runs the risk of purchasing fake products which may even be harmful when used...

To get back to you with regards to the propecia options, the active compound which counteracts male pattern baldness in prone individuals is finasteride. So any generic finasteride products eg. Proscar and finpecia will be just as effective to use as propecia and they also cost a whole lot less.

hope this helps

Actual generics are 100% fine, it's where you get them from which could be a problem.

United and Inhouse are generally well regarded as legit and used by a large number of people. - Some argue that finpecia, due to its low cost isn't worth faking, they may as well make fake Propecia and sell it for more...

Other websites might be fakes, although I doubt that they'll do you any harm, they'd be sugar tablets or something rather than the makers going out of their way and spending more money to deliberately harm people...you'd hope.
