Propecia has halted my loss at the vertex and it has began to fill iiin (on my 4th month). Most people can't even tell I'm losing hair anymore.

re:

Jfrank, sorry but I don't buy it. You do realize that Norwood-3 is a hardcore horseshoe.

i am talking about the hairline and how it looks on the norwood scale... frontal receded about 1/2" temple receded into the frontal 3/4" on both sides.. (in receded, i mean thinned out to a point where you can see the scalp)

at the vertex, i would say i stayed about the same, though the top of my scalp and hairline slight deteriorated, im still waiting for a little bit of possiblke regrowth which would be awesome

Why did you start if you were a NW0?? Its like taking insulin shots and not having diabetes! Anyways, the poll is going to be very biased. The people who come in these forums are looking for help, most don't come on just to chat with other balding men.

well, the reason i started propecia was before my hair was thinning in the nw6 areas.. (except the hairline)... when i rogained my scalp, you could see the great nw6.. when dry, it was nearly perfect..

now my hairline is very very bad... i am looking for a glimmer of hope... and i am aware that most people on this site are not happpy with thier overall progress... why not play devils advocate...

I have general thinning all over my scalp. I haven’t developed any pattern yet. So, I started to take propecia, to prevent farther hair loss. Is it wrong? Shouldn’t we take action as early as possible?

I sure hope so because I am in the same boat as you, though I have one spoot that is more balding than the rest right over my right temple. I panicked and got some finasteride and minoxidil.

BTW this poll is useless since if we can't really vote we cant see the results. Put an option for " I have not used finasteride for 1 year"
