Hey,
Recently (2 months ago) I started taking Propecia, 0.25mg every day. I also take zinc just to keep my sex drive (which isn't so high usually, but I could still have sex 3 times a session).
I did that because my uncle took it for 6 years without any sexual side effect (nor crash after stopping).
I think the medication made me slight a little less horny, but not something serious.
However, 2 different new side effects came up, I'm not sure whether these sides are from Propecia or just in my head.
The first one is short-term memory loss. I tend to be more forgetful than usual (in addition to my severe ADHD).
The second is one being more apathetic. I seem to care less about stuff and have less motivation. This comes in different aspect (for example, I was studying German and recently I lost some interest).
I wonder whether these side effects are in my head and if they're not -- how to get them away.
Also, if I would stop Propecia for a week, would that be enough to see if these effects are reversed or not? (0.25mg every day, so I would even try going cold turkey?)
I started Propecia after many other topical treatments (Minoxidil 5\15, azelaic acid, nizoral shampoo). All of them were helpful, but not enough to be a permanent solution. (and nobody wants to get bald at 21).
Best,
bis_bald.
