propecia to avodart

So ive been on propecia for 16 months but sure im still thinning. I want to jump to avodart but dont know what to expect? will I lose some before it kicks in and is avodart really all that? some advice please

I'm doing the same but going real slow with it keeping my normal 2.5mg finasteride but adding 0.5mg dutasteride per week. So far after 1st week no change in sides or sheds. Hope it stays this way with continued thicker growth as normal thin hairs fall. If after 6 months no significnat change will go to twice per week dutasteride.

12 years on finasteride...I would say slowed down thinning but losing the battle big time now (about 80% entire scalp gone).

80% is a lot man! what percent would you seriously be happy with if you could get some back? surely if you have tried the big 3 already there isn't much hope even with dutasteride? or am i just being a pessimist! sorry.

Entire scalp thin----have thin diffuse hair throughout to show scalp 100%.

Do yourself a favor apply rogaine to your scalp just after you shower while your skin is hydrated
It will go right into your scalp after you have just towel dried it. Make sure you do this twice a day to a damp scalp you will have better resultsin six months.

Been on Rogaine probaby longer than you have been alive....started 2% in 1985.....on and off since then jumped on 5% when it came out near 2000.

Dont put it on a dry scalp put it on a damp scalp

Can you explain why you are on 2.5MG of finasteride/day? i thought 1.25MG/day is the same as 2.5 MG? please explain

Want to keep more in bloodstream daily. Been on it since about 2000. Slow degradation thinning.

I was in Propecia for 7-8 years, foam for a number of years. Have not taken propecia for 4 years but still foam 2x and nizoral 4 times a week.

Thinking about .5 Dutasteride. Crown bugs me the most. I'm not clear from reading how often guys take .5, is it daily?

Weekly .5 dutasteride with 2.5,g finasteride daily. On 5th week of dutasteride now no issues.
