Hi all,

Just reporting on reaching my 8th month on propecia. Nothing, nowt, zero and zilch progress. My hairloss continues unabated unfortunately.

I am currently using nizoral three times a week and T-Gel on other days, and was taking supplements multi-vits, zinc for three/four months but I have stopped using them, they weren't benefitting, just hindering.

Don't really know what to do. I started propecia just to maintain a good head of hair, which was thinning, but it hasn't helped to maintain. I am getting visibly thinner at the crown, temples, forelock, and now even on the vertex. So from being a crown and temple thinner, I have started the diffuse thinning.

Propecia ain't working for me, which is a bugger. I am going to ride it out until the 12-month mark and keep my fingers crossed, but I am not too hopeful as my hairloss hasn't stopped yet.

If there is no visible progress by the 12-month mark I might try the minoxidil, but I don't want to become even more obsessed than I am at the moment. There are more important tings in life than hair; like your personality, your soul, and of course your happiness and friends and loved ones too.

Hairloss is such a vicious, obsessive cycle. Come on propecia, kick in !

If you are thinnin that much you should add minoxidil.

it might cause a preliminary shed but should strengthen and regrow.

Ryan,

Wait the 12 months before making any changes or you will never know what is working and what isn't. After that you can go the minoxidil route (with propecia) or the avodart route.
Good Luck
