Proscar splitting

Well, I've heard two different stories on the effectiveness of splitting Proscar. One side says that since you are not getting a perfect split of .1/day (i.e. .8mg one day, 12mg the next), it is not as effective as Propecia with a steady 1 mg/day. The other side says it really makes no difference, as long as you're in the ballpark and it evens out in the long run.

Can anyone provide any definitive data on either side? I'd like to cut Proscar, since it is so much cheaper.

Thanks

my personal opinion is that it is not an exact science at all and that splitting into unexact portions off by a few mg really has no significant difference.

This does not matter. It takes 2 weeks for your DHT levels to return to "normal" after quitting finasteride. A slight variation in the dosage will not matter on a day to day basis.

I have been splitting since day 1 and have had good results. In fact, there are those who suggest that varying dosages is a good thing.

See my schedule below.
