A few days after stopping propecia (after being on it for three years), I'm having some symptoms similar to those of prostitits. My urethra burns off an on, I'm having testicle pain, and some lower back pain.

Has anyone else ever experienced this after stopping propecia? I'm praying that its just my prostate gland temporarily re-adjusting itself now that its not under the influence of finasteride, but it's been about five days now of off and on symptoms, and I'm getting nervous.

I did stop propecia for about two months about a year and a half ago, and i did get some temporary groin pain for about a week, but not a burning urethra.

I actually have mild prostatis since I've STARTED propecia...I definitely think Propecia can cause it..it works on the prostate, it can obviously aggravate it. But it also has to do with things like caffiene intake, stress, spicy foods, and depending on the type of prostatis, bacterial infection and whatnot.

Go see a urologist.

prostititis after stopping propecia? You mean guys who stop propecia are more likely to go to prostitutes some day?

Did you see see a doctor or urologist for it? I'm back on finasteride right now, weaning myself off it of it over the next two weeks. I'm hoping that will reduce the shock on my system. If this doesn't go away, I'll have to go see a Doctor. But I really do not want to have to experience a cystoscope (a device that goes down your urethra), or have some Doctor stick his finger us my ***. This SUCKS!

May I ask why you decided to quit finasteride?
