Question about cut proscar

Hi guys,
9 weeks ago I started taking 1/4th of a proscar pill per day.
One package of Proscar contains 2x14 tablets and I used a pill cutter to cut 14 tablets at once.

Two days ago I realised that those pills are stored in the cutter for 2 months and tbh I'm a bit worried now that I short circuit my treatment due to this.
I mean even if the cut pills had a half life of 1 week, after 4 weeks the pills would have lost 15/16 of their effect and what if let's say you'd do this 18 months and then quit because you thought that finasteride doesn't work for you.

Has anyone confirmed information about this (maybe a chemistry explanation)

Some people say cutting the pills and leaving them out for a long time doesn't hurt them others say the opposite. I figured i'll be on the safe side so starting today i only cut one pill at a time and store it in one of these film containers. Keeps air,light and moisture out.

hmm when I store them they are sofe from light but not from air I'd think.
But I hope that my first 4 months of treatment weren't useless then...

maybe if we can't get any clear info, can someone at least post their experience with proscar cut in my way? like "I cut a 2 months supply at once, and it works for me" or something?

I just cut one pill every four days. What's the big deal with doing that? It takes about 30 seconds to cut it into four.

yeah I know, I'll definately do it with my next package, I just wanted to know if it can damage the effect of the indrigents if they're stored broken for a long time (4 weeks+)

I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. Open air and light are an issue, especially light, but in some sort of container you should be just fine. No worries. Besides, pill cutters are supposed to be storage units anyway. I bought one and didn't like it, but if I had liked it, I would have kept my pills in it till I used them.

Personally, I cut 2 at a time and keep them in my latest empty bottle of Proscar and keep the uncut pills in their original bottle. I also use a razor blade and a mirror to cut the pills .
