Pretty high dose. Not fear mongering… I personally don’t think that’s sustainable long term without significant sides. Good luck
Thanks brother. I know a guy named anxiousandy on this forum hes in His 20s, he use same dose as me for over a year or 2 no problems.

Its best chance for regrowth man fina rarely gives regrowth just trying to make u stop wasting time as your hairloss is severe. I havent even gotten regrowth from high dose dutasteride for over a year.
My hairloss isn't severe, it's mild?

I have full coverage and it still feels dense. But it needs treatment. I'm not wasting time finasteride is a good first step in any hair loss treatment, god damn I haven't even given it a year yet.

Appreciate your help but I know for a fact starting finasteride is a good first step, but I know it hardly causes regrowth. I'm looking to maintain for now then once I'm financially stable maybe add minoxidil once I see finasteride is working.

Bro i can see alot of your scalp, you dont even have a part. If u think its mild ur definately delusional. Its moderate to severe. Definately not mild judging by the pictures.

Moderate yes unfortunately, my previous posts will show my hair dry and in different lighting has intact got a part and looks dense, it's all lighting. When combed it's fine. Basically I have full coverage but it's diffused so if I spike it the scalp shows pretty bad. I agree my hairloss is moderate and will get worse but finasteride is a good thing in a lot of guys so might as well try.

It won't let me attach images so my previous posts may show better examples.

I wont lose this

Yeah, I agree with losingbattle, this "part" looks far from normal. Mine will probably get like that soon if I don't take any actions

Yep. It's the lighting too. If I middle part my hair the part isn't as bad, it's just because it's spiked. Full coverage but all diffused so if I move a few hairs there isn't enough to make up for the part.

But like I said if I part it with a comb it isn't as bad, but I know I'm balding.

Hey man just take fina and let it do it’s thing. I decided to take it because I wasn’t sure if I was losing my hair but now I don’t think about it as much because I’m on fina. It’s good as a preventative if hair loss runs in the family.

I'm trying bro but it seems people think I need duta and minoxidil. I'm just trying to halt it at this point as it isn't visible when combed in the natural light. I just want to give finasteride a shot.

I think it depends on what my goal is... Yes I need minoxidil for hair growth and duta or finasteride to maintain. I'm just following people's advise, giving finasteride a year or so then if it works I can add other things instead of adding minoxidil now then if something financial happens I make my hair worse then before.

People are suggesting oral duta and minoxidil combined, isn't that over doing it when I haven't even gave finasteride a chance?

My hair looks quite medium density in normal lighting but sunlight without combing it looks quite bad, but if I comb it it suddenly looks not too bad, how do I know what state my hair is.. The sunlight or normal lighting? In sunlight it looks basically aggressive balding but normal light it's like medium hair loss not noticeable as much
I’d start with finasteride and see how your hair is in 6 months. The state of your hair loss is going to look different with different variables (length, lighting, greasy, etc.). Best thing to do is take a BUNCH of photos with all conditions, wet, different angles, different lighting, etc. Then try to best match the same exact conditions a few months from now and take photos again. I’m glad I did this in my bathroom lighting for the last few years as it gives you an accurate picture of how your hair loss is progressing/stagnating

Thank you, I'll try my best.

It's just this stupid gyno scare gets me, there is a mass behind my nips, very very small like they're almost flat like they should be, maybe it's normal? It's flat but when I pinch both of them there is a mass.. Doctor said it's normal but I'm unsure of what that mass is when I pinch down.. Hopefully finasteride isn't causing.

Basically they're flat, no lump, but if I pinch down there is a mass. Possibly normal and just because there is sh*t behind nips like ducts or something

I also suffer from diffuse thinning. To be honest, I don't think you can only maintain with finasteride, but you can always try 6 month to see if it works. If it doesn't work, you will need to add minoxidil, and if this still doesn't work (which is not rare), you will have to get on dutasteride, and even then, you might keep loosing your hair or maybe u stop it. I'm for example on oral dutasteride and oral minoxidil 3.5 mg (tried 5 mg with same results as 3.5mg), and it unfortunately didn't stop my hair loss (it has slowed it down at least so I'll borrow some time and wait for new treatments in the future). In brief, anything you take is better than nothing, because at least you will slow it down and have hair for a longer period of time

I believe finasteride is enough to halt hairloss bro, it's just personal.. Meaning if it works as it's supposed to it'll slow down hairloss that's literally it's job. I believe it can maintain maybe you were unlucky and I could be too but I'm going to think positively.. I don't need to be negative and say it isn't enough when studies say other

I think it's the opposite.. Finasteride can maintain, but hardly will regrow like minoxidil can. It isn't a growth stimulate. If finasteride doesn't work for me minoxidil will do nothing bro, it'll provide a false image and I'll still be balding underneath the minoxidil hairs.. You need something to attack root cause always.. Like you said I guess. Minoxidil alone will do nothing unless paired.

Lol I have legitimate gyno. Had it before finasteride and maybe it got slightly worse on finasteride? It’s noticeable, people mention it sometimes when my nipples are looking extra puffy. It sucks, and I might get it removed at some point. However, I’d choose to have EVEN WORSE gyno if it meant that I keep my hair. Gyno can be removed, hair can’t really be regrown. Hope that makes you feel better.

EDIT: and I want to make it clear that I’m not one of those people here that would ever use feminizing drugs or do anything extreme to maintain my hair. I’m just someone that had gyno since puberty and to me, it’s not as bad as being bald.
